We done with the daft excuses about the 'unbridgable gap' to the prem now?

 

Delighted for Sunderland. Proof that a little bit of graft and the right signings are all it takes. Nearly halfway to our points tally and it's not even October lol

Sunderland putting every single excuse in the bin where they belong. Went up against the odds (stopping Coventry in the process) and have gone up and started like this, with more fine service to the beautiful game today.

The right 15 signings.... 

 

But to be honest I like Sunderland. They work hard but there is a long way to go. 

 

Xhaka looks a great signing.

Sunderland 1 point off Southampton's tally already lol 

 

These weren't even that good last year but they have recruited well, outside the box, taken the short-term pain for long-term gain in many instances (their squad average age was ridiculously young in the last couple of years). It's basically everything we should be doing now, but aren't.

To be fair we weren't able to go up and spend in the way Sunderland have due to past poor spending. Only highlights why we need the books in order so that we can invest if we do go back up.

Great scenes at the "famous" city gorund.....

 

They dserved it, Florist fans boastiing all day about thrusday night saying it was like "watching brazil" (their own true words believe me)
