Crystal palace should report them. See how they like it.

The level of arrogance from a club that had one good season is unbelievable. The owner is douche bag and their fans lap it up.

They are turning themselves into a very dislikeable team.

Amazing how they have all convinced themselves Palace don’t deserve to be in the Europa League and it being their rightful place despite Palace earning it on the pitch and it being a technicality around ownership that has no bearing on fairness in field (given Texor isn’t the leading person at Palace).

And yet they see absolutely nothing wrong with the blatant circumventing of financial regs through this inflating fees trading with Botafogo and Lyon. I don’t know why Texor doesn’t tell them to f*** off after the Palace thing.

I assume the point of the rule is to prevent match fixing between clubs with the same person or company in overall control.  Not sure how the cut off date for him to sell makes sense in this case.

Presume Gyökeres will join Arsenal at some point.

Is that this summer's long running transfer saga?

I find it odd. Didn't really get it going in this Country until he went to Cov. Scored a load for them in the Championship then went to Sporting and has had a couple season scoring loads. Now we're talking £70m!?

Pretty sure I read Cov have got 10%-15% of the next deal so presume they will want him to go for as much as possible!

Worth mentioning his poor record v Benfica and Porto while playing for Sporting. His good game in the CL came against Man City with a hat trick.

In the league

1 goal and 2 assists in 4 v Benfica.

4 goals and and an assist in 4 v Porto.

This season in cups

Goal v Benfica in final and 2 assists v Porto in their version of the Charity shield.

Not sure I'd use the word poor to describe that return.

1 league goal against them last season in 4 apps and that was a penalty

He is a bit of flat track bully

4 goals against them the season before then, what does that mean?

Either way, seems alright to be fair. Personally I wouldn't be crying if he bagged 30 goals for my team just because they weren't against the right teams.

Arsenal need somebody to really move the needle for them, lots of goals against Arouca probably doesn't translate to that. He's a good player and he'll score 17-20 goals imo but I don't think he's totally transformative for them.

Will be interesting to see should the transfer happen. I think he comes in and improves them, but I understand the doubts even if I don't particularly agree with the reasoning.

One thing you aren't considering is that Rio Ferdinand has already written them off so he's nailed on for 40 goals this season.

Isaak not travelled to Asia with Newcastle.... "Minor Thigh Injury"... why is it always the thigh they make up? lol

They've had an absolute shocker this summer, hard to know who to blame really.

Eddie hates DOF's so again they don't currently have one because he keeps falling out with them, but then gets angry when they don't sign players quickly. Seems the one player he wants is a goalkeeper despite for about the 4th year running desperately needing to create a squad rather than flog 15 or 16 players to within an inch of their life lol

They're off to Asia with no striker, which isn't exactly the ideal start to a Champions League season!

I have just seen rumours coming out that Isak wants to leave and has handed a transfer request in.

Yep! Liverpool are building a side that could just win everything for the next 4 or 5 years!

Newcastle now need two strikers as a priority.... you know what I wouldn't be surprised to see JV there if he's still not taken towards the start of the season.

How could Liverpool possibly afford Isak, am I going mad? He'd be in the region of £150m (ok if he openly wants to leave you could argue he'll be around £100m), but they just signed a striker for £70m+ and Wirtz for a PL record fee, and two new fullbacks for another £50m....

Read an interesting article the other day showing how little they’ve managed to spend over the last few seasons compared to about half of the Premier league.

Also showed they are still well within psr limits and have plenty to spend if needed

They are also going to sell Diaz and Nunez will be raise over 100m plus it's horrible to say but they have to replace Jota and they would have had a significant insurance policy in place that rightly so won't ever be disclosed.

They are building one hell of a squad and they should win the league next year.

Do you reckon? I wonder why that Emiliano Sala dispute went on and on if that's the case.

There was no pressure on Slot before and now there's huge!

They’ve still got Coutinho money to spend. Not even close to being in breach of PSR apparently. They could go after anyone and be safe.

He was a business asset at the end of the day so there would have been a policy in place. Imagine it is one you would never want to use. It is probably one of the reasons why the Sala incident dragged on for so long unfortunately.

The pressure is huge but they did need to future proof as they were / are an aging squad. Salah and VVD probably have one maybe two season in them at the top so they needed to spend this year after basically spending nothing last year.

The sport is totally ruined. A team like Newcastle can't even convince Isak to stay there. OnlyFans footballers and primadonnas have destroyed football alongside the corrupted associations which act like Camorra.

A hard salary cap is the only way to save the sport.
