Maddison always spoke about wanting to line up and hear the Champions league music under the lights. (When with us and at Spurs)

Gutting for him if that’s his season over with already just as Spurs qualify.

James is a good guy , always felt he was one of the onces that actually cared when we went down and gave his all.  always has been a bit injury prone. hope he comes back

Al Hilal have identified Darwin Nunez as their priority target to strengthen in attack and are now stepping up efforts aimed at landing the Liverpool striker.
You just know this will be another €70m+ Liverpool somehow wangle ala Diaz.

A combined 54 goals spread over 4 seasons yet they will walk away with €140m+ ohh to have a board member in the right club.

Diaz scored just 29 prem goals in 4 seasons

Nunez has scored 25 prem goals in 3 seasons

Seems he always has injury issues but s at points was our best player and he gave his all.  Never understood any bad feeling toward him.  Since he left, he posted support and talked about his disappointment of that season.

My memory is clear  Its more of an interpretation difference.

Fair enough mate. Think he just shirks personal responsibility myself but we all have different interpretations like you say. Don't wish him injury though by any means

Yep. Don't do it, Kiernan. You're better than this!

He was never the level of a top 6 team. Was always gonna end up at an Everton or Palace.

Oh, I don't disagree with you. I just have an irrational dislike of Everton.

Possibly rules out any hope of the world cup also.

They're playing Fiorentina tonight as well. Would be nice to see them lose that after we beat them comfortably. Small victories and all that

Do we think Rudkin was bright enough to put in a sell-on clause considering he was clearly never going to last at Chelsea?

He was probably more sober.

Maddison put a shift in, particularly in the final third of the season. You could argue, if anything, he was trying too hard and it got to him. Never understood for a second why people got such a rageboner for him that year.

He put a shift in defending Rodgers and writing delusional tweets

Maddison was the match winner in the team. Fans look to him as the one to keep us up. I agree that it's unfair but it's just the way it goes.

Same thing happens in every sport. Sachin Tendulkar, Michael Jordan, Tom Brady etc. They all cop a larger amount of stick than the rest when they're not able to pull their team through.
