I thought he'd resigned

Trump treats being President of the USA as though he's on some sort of reality TV show, not ideal either.

Pre election interviews really should be done by Claude from now on. Shocking that it wasn’t already.

Doubt he’d have the conscience for that. Most likely thing is he’s been grounded.

Judging by what I saw his mum said, I doubt he's EVER been grounded or had his favourite teddy taken off him for being a naughty boy.

As someone else said, he was born 3-0 up and then was taught that he'd scored a hat trick.

But it's the sentiment that he's tapping into and giving strength to, that is the real problem. He's the catalyst, and it's the reaction that he's fuelling that must be neutralised.

He's barely worthy as a high profile businessman. I would bet there's many, many skeletons in his closet.

As POTUS and the most powerful man in the free world, he is uniquely unqualified.

He has no qualifications in general politics, world politics, the political history of America, the political history of Europe never mind the long struggles in the history of Russia and the recent (in historical terms) breakaway countries that have, like Ukraine, become independent.

Putin hates this, Trump only sees a business deal.

His only standout is his ego and his paranoid narcissism.

Classic Canadian non justice

https://www.ctvnews.ca/toronto/article/man-arrested-after-assaulting-intruder-inside-his-lindsay-home-police/

Basically in Canada, we can only use reasonable force if dealing with an intruder. Heaven forbid we might be scared shatless and fight back before we are attacked.

If we don't and get killed, we'll just another statistic. While I don't believe in guns, I am all for being able to attack an unknown intruder in your personal space. Gone way too soft here and this is not the first time this has happened here.

So how many whacks with my aluminum bat would be reasonable? :D

Lol I have one under my bed. For me, I'd say at least 5 minimum depending on where.

boom headshot= 1 if they go down right away, 2 if not.

body shots= 5 minimum unless you hear a bone break/snap.

RR now wants to tax your primary residence on disposal - does this govt want to stoop any lower - making it virtually impossible for 95% of the population to live a comfortable life and want to tax you to death

Isn't it all "ideas" rather than policy?

I thought they were looking at it as a replacement for council tax.

Interesting piece on working culture and how it contributes to burnout/loneliness in any place.

Also I can see the attraction of a place like Mokpo of you wanted to get away from the high stress life in Seoul, even though almost everything important happens there. It's similar to the UK being so London-centric, though London perhaps isn't quite so hectic and stressful.

They’re floating ideas re council tax and stamp duty.
the stamp duty idea is that rather than paying a lump sum on purchase, you’d pay a tax each year you’re in the house.  Perhaps a single home occupation tax to replace both taxes ??

I doubt they’d be able to make the replacement tax much annually higher than already being paid but effectively spreading the stamp duty out over a 10/15 year period would likely bring in higher revenues over time than the current system because selling sooner wouldn’t make any difference (you’d buy a new place and then pay on that ) and if you stay longer than the 10/15 years then you’re paying more than you would have done with a lump sum. I guess they could have a system where you can choose to pay the stamp duty element up front.

I think this is the case. Also that you pay every year based upon your property value rather than a set banding so that increases in house value are accounted for. This would be terrible in places like Devon and Cornwall as the only people that could afford property are the very wealthy.

Rayner is pushing for only 'owners' to pay council tax meaning that any tenants will be exempt.

Exempt until their rent gets put up.

Yeh it's not policy yet, I guess they are leaking ideas to the press to see the reaction as clearly we are in the schidt and she will need to raise some kind of tax in the short term. She will not target anyone who has a net worth of over £5m - it's always the working population, labour is supposed to be a party for the working class and they are literally destorying the working class.

Inflation highest in the G7, ticked up to 3.8% now. Good news for state pensioners anyway :)

With the difference being that there are actually better alternatives going forward for LCFC, rather than all of the viable ones being demonstrably worse as is in the case of the UK.
