Amongst Starmer's deflection and waffling, he said that he has full confidence in Mandelson. What he didn't answer was if he knew about his ties to Epstein before he appointed him as UK Ambassador in Washington. He wasn't expected to be guessing and not political theatre to expect an answer to what he knew. His attempt to squirm his way out of it has made things worse for him. This is far more serious than gossip.

It's not remotely more than gossip. You're arguing about utter trivialities. 

Mandelson has done a great job. If he's done something terrible then the book will be thrown at him but there's no suggestion of that.

Yeah, I viscerally disagree with everything Kirk stands for and has done but he doesn't deserve this and neither do his wife and kids deserve to lose a husband and father.
