  1. 1. Are you Pro- or Anti-Dyche?

There’s about 3 or 4 of the linked candidates I’d take before Dyche. Wouldn’t be happy if he comes in but would of course get behind him. I think he will ultimately underperform our expectations.

Less screwed with a year in the Premier League and the value of that. It also allows for attracting better players and Manager.

true but then we've got the same thing again in getting rid of Dyche and the players he brings in,

sadly its the same cycle

There is a lot of fortune telling going on here, and more hope that the unknowns, are all in favour of Rohl.

If you had to bet your house on either Dyche or Rohl getting us promoted and staying in the Premier League. You would go with the guy who has done it before and who has Managed in the Premier League for the majority of his career and is still only 54.

On paper, if only presented with candidate A or B, no one would pick Rohl.

I appreciate context is important though, and I do see the appeal of the unknown in Rohl too, especially when the known parts of Dyche, are a negative brand of football.

I am just conscious that this club really feels like it is on a death spiral and we could be one poor appointment away from doing a Derby.

We have an overpaid, arrogant squad, that according to RVN, are adverse to even doing fitness work. We have an owner on the brink of financial ruin and a DoF who should have as little say as possible. There is also the added pressure of an instant return to the Premier League to contend with.

I see Dyche as the better candidate to handle all that, despite Rohl’s two year experience with the Sheffield Wednesday owner, which I acknowledge is a bonus if he comes.

As the poll shows though, it really is a 55%-45% decision on Dyche and if it is Rohl, then I will hope for a Maresca style instant success.

well said tbh,

I see where you are coming from in regards getting back into the prem etc, but frankly and honestly this club doesnt deserve to be, plan and simple,

I love Leicester city, I love going to watch them etc, BUT and its a BIG BUT, the club has gone stale, arrogant, thinking they can just do what they do, treat the fans like complete and utter dirty etc

so honestly a part of me is glad all the negativity around them atm, cos theyve deserved it with the gross mismanagment theyve done over the last 4 years

the club has been on a path to shit's ville for a while, its plain to see, football is a fluid industry, forever moving etc, while we LCFC havent really, we might have moved to a shiny new training ground but the Dof etc arent moving with the times sadly, and its shown by the scattergun nature of recruitment in terms of manager and players;

dont get me wrong Im not 100% against Dyche, Ill support him if he comes in, but he needs to give the kids a chance, Monga Evan Aluko Cartwright.....the youngest, they are the ones who are the light in this incredibly dark crap hole atm,

Also on Dyche, look how bad they was the season just gone under him, pretty sure they was in and around us until they got Moyes and look how he turned them around, the same group of players, Moyes made Beto actually look good, while under Dyche he looked like prime Akinbiyi

another huge factor against Dyche for me, is the fact hes good friends with Rudkin, that will certainly be a recipe for disaster i wonder how many of our fans want JR out but what Dyche in,

and Dyche would easily be on the highest wage in the championship too, probably on a par with some within the premier league too, which given the stat we are in, is that really ideal

theres no clear sign of a footballing identity either if we keep going from different style of managers too, you dont see brighton going from Hurzeler to Allardyce, they try and stick with a coach how has the same core footballing identity(possession based)as the last

either way, I think some of our fans need to get kinda real with this season, i doubt we'll go up in the autos, maybe play off area. as we dont know what punishment the EFL will give out yet

Going back up is obviously beneficial from a short term revenue increase point of view. However, if we want to stay there and get our finances under control, we need to revamp the squad in a sustainable way.

I don’t see that which Dyche as I worry the recruitment would be the type we saw last summer under Cooper which would not be doing the job needed of bringing down the wage bill.

The only way to do it is to use the young players we have and lose the older heads on big wages.

I believe some of the issues with our fan base is their minds seem to go back to the team that won the league or the squad that was challenging for Champions League every season (and won the FA Cup). We are nowhere near that level anymore so we should limit our expectations.

I think we need some Prem experience, a solid manager and as much as Dyche would not be my choice if we were financially stable or a prem club already, I think he could get us there which we are desperate to see for financial reasons. I fear the worst if we dont go up, especially with a points deduction around the corner. It may be attritional football  but I just want to go up first and worry about the rest later.

He is, I think people have come fantasised with our good run, and also cant let go of Enzo.  As a club and that includes the fan base, we need to be grounded, and be realistic.  Need a foundations builder so to speak.  Lay the foundations before moving on to the next step.

If bad players are brought in thats on Rudkin.

Get Dyche in. Steady and capable of building something special, and, he's here for the long term providing he gets it right.

Thanks for sharing that brought a smile to my face. Love the way he taps the chap on the back to say sorry as if he hasn't just broken the guy, then argues "I won the ball ref", and finally looks astonished that the ref has shown him red 😂. What a guy!

Dyche is good for two things, scrappy football and moaning…

Dyche just rapidly going out of date. The equivalent of appointing Mark Hughes in 2014, or Pulis or Allardyce in 2020. Might do something grimly effective for you but it’s going to end in tears.

He seems ideal then, as we have clearly passed our sell by date also

With the squad we have and specifically the type of youth players we have and the whole style of play our youth are developed in from when they first join the club, Sean Dyche is absolutely not the perfect fit. A short term solution that will end in tears as it always has in his management career.

Speaking with my mate this morning, he’s suggesting we’ve spoken to Dyche… so it’s going to be him isn’t it………

Not necessarily, but I’d be surprised if we didn’t talk to him. Makes sense to talk to different candidates.

Looks like I’m in the minority here, but Dyche would be our most uninspiring appointment since Dave Bassett. Those supporting it seem to advocate that we should embrace our new found sh1tness. The same logic that saw the likes of Bruce, Hughes, Pardew and Allardyce on the football manager merry go round for so long and that saw us sign Ayew, BDCR and Edouard last season for “Premier League Experience”

If you look at the managers who have achieved promotion in the last two or three seasons they seem to not really fit this mould of “tried and tested”. We’ve forgotten pretty quickly that Maresca was an innovative and progressive appointment however much his football philosophy divided our fan base.

Leicester are the size of club that are unlikely to keep a manager for long. If they succeed they will leave or if they don’t they’ll be sacked. Far better, in my view, to decide what the football philosophy should be and recruit consistently within that model. To go from Maresca to Cooper to RvN to Dyche in successive appointments would be reflective of a club in disarray with no sense of direction - which is precisely why it just might happen

These are exactly my thoughts too.
