Apparently we paid between 19-21 million when we bought him.  Not sure if Genk has any profit clauses from any future sales.

I’ve got no problem with players being sold. Especially the good ones. We stopped “playing the market” which is why we’ve had so many walk out for free. I was all for cashing in on guys like Tielemans for example. Players have a role, recycle them. Sell high. 32m is effectively selling Bilal high. Use the money, build. 
 

The problem I have is watching Palace prepare. They’re locked in negotiations with us and the deal with spurs wasn’t even close / they’re now negotiating with Arsenal. They may even go for dibbling but the point is, they have a deal here - subject to payment terms. When have we ever been that prepared ? 
 

Maguire ? £80m was the worst kept secret all summer. We bid for Ake on the day of the sale. Mahrez ? Three ****ing years he was on his way out. We got Ghezzal towards the end of the window. Chilwell  - the guy checked out v Chelsea in the fa cup game. We signed a rb. I’m looking at ****ing palace and thinking well played. WTF. 
 

Im hoping we’ve finally learnt from it because we can’t go into this season without a replacement. But I think we all know how this plays out.

Eze is a arsenal fan and I had a feeling especially after the havertz injury that arsenal would become involved

Wonder if Arsenal will offer a player in to the deal for Eze along with cash . They may well have someone who could fit in to the space left by Eze without Palace having to buy BEK

That sort of reminds me of the story O'Leary told about the Matt Jones transfer from Leeds.

He said they wanted £2m for Jones and were expecting to have to negotiate us up, but our first phone call was an offer of £3m which Leeds negotiated up to £3.5m😂 Classic Peter Taylor Era.

I heard Junior Lewis was happy with 2k a week but the club thought he wanted at least 20k and offered him 22k to be safe .🤣

Tbf, signing Mendy and Ghazzal to replace Kante and Mahrez was quite funny, we shopped at Temu before it was a thing.

Palace don’t need richarlison 

they have Mateta and the kid they bought from arsenal as strikers. 
 

typical of spurs to try and bring players into a deal to reduce capital outlay

 

if arsenal are serious then they get him although he’ll have to perform to be a regular starter.
