Palace don’t need richarlison

they have Mateta and the kid they bought from arsenal as strikers.

typical of spurs to try and bring players into a deal to reduce capital outlay

if arsenal are serious then they get him although he’ll have to perform to be a regular starter.

He's an Arsenal fan, and he does perform. Absolute no brainer for him. No wonder he was laughing at Sky earlier, reporting he was off to Tottenham lol

If this sale doesn't elicit player purchases in key positions, we are absolutely in Sheffield Wednesday territory and it's pointless pretending any different.

This would be the final nail in the coffin for even some of the King Power FC fans surely?!

Ultimately £32m for BEK is good value based on current output but potential. IF he reaches his potential he has good resale value but we get a nice pay out as the middle team.

The one thing Marti’s system made me realise is ultimately I don’t think BEK is a no.10. He needs to play for a heavily possession based team in a similar role to what KDB was playing under Pep.

Wonder if there is any possibility of Spurs now coming in for Bilal?

Hope not. Levy will only want to pay £10m and insist we take some £20m dross player back in return.

Maybe but not instead of Eze - maybe they go back to savinho option and try and lowball us for BEK in addition.

Savinho is a winger, odd target for them given their other right wingers.

If Spurs did come in for BEK, the agreed fee with Palace is £32m. Yes Bilal could say he only wants to go to Spurs but he also risks then having to stay here if Palace move on. Can only see Spurs coming in in retaliation to Arsenal getting Eze.

This would be a great love for both Bilal and Palace. He’s a major talent in my opinion, and once fully developed is destined some a top, top club. Palace are a quality team, they really get things right when they target young players, with Bilal in the ranks they will be a very decent outfit. Losing Eze though is a blow, I think he’s an unreal player.

It won’t be. They will bleat about how it’s down to Covid and the club have done nothing wrong!

It's completely ridiculous how harshly they've been treated.

There's just no way this would happen to a bigger club.

UEFA are in a right mess with multi-club ownerships.

Not often I feel sorry for the other PL teams but this whole situation is scandalous really.

about to say this, surely it makes sense for them to be in the running now with Palace, Levy is the sort of guy to get his chopper out in these situations and just get one over palace

bidding war incoming

I seem to remember Savinho having a run of form at left wing with Man City last season.

They might go in for him for his ability to beat a man and put a cross in from the left.

I really doubt it. They'd surely want someone more proven.

True he can play wide left

I really like Bilal and in an ideal world we keep him.

But £35m for an attacker with 8 goals in over 150 career appearances? Is he really worth half of an Eberechi Eze?

We really, really have to replace him though.

After too much rose and a few Duvels last night I am now at peace with this transfer as long as we keep Fatawu. I loved watching Bilal play but his output always concerned me. Not bagging against Sheffield Weds summed him up, and it’s a part of his game he will have to improve on quickly when this move happens.

We do have to bring someone in.

IIRC Fatawu obliterated the record for chances created in a Championship season when we were last in this league. It's so important that we keep him (and I think we will).

Bilal is much more of a luxury and we (or at least, a well functioning club) could spend £35m on 3/4 key players to transform our chances.

That's the thing though isn't it? We were OK with selling Mads if it meant keeping Bilal. Now we are OK with selling Bilal if it means keeping Fatawu. Who are we going to want to keep in favour of selling Fatawu? Monga? It's going downhill fast.

Its akin to the Raiders opening  where Harrison Ford is running with the statuette doing anything he can to keep it and it gets taken from him when he gets out of the cave anyway.

I always felt Mads and Bilal were going. I just had a small hope after the Sheffield game that there was a chance he might stay.
