im not too fussed about him leaving (playing wise). A good prospect but no guarantee that he will become the real deal. The mess we are in i think financially its a deal we simply have to do.

Im more angry at the fact we have to sell our good up and coming young players to balance the books due to us spending silly money on trash that we are now stuck with.

We are in no position to be pushing for promotion this season. We will do well to stay in this division especially once the points deduction comes in.

We wont recover from this mess of a squad for years. We are stuck with these players until their contracts are up. Can someone please tell me that they are all in their final year and we can get rid next year?

Hope he does well at Palace

good luck to the lad

After he gave us all of 12 months commitment and was part of a team that stunk out the Prem? Minimum commitment, minimum goals & assists and then jumps ship at the first opportunity. 🤷🏻‍♂️

But even when these players have moved out at the end of their contracts or whenever, as things stand we'd still be relying on the very same people who got us into this mess, to rebuild for the future.

Doesn't exactly fill you with hope does it?

Assuming he goes (and we don’t sign a replacement) who steps in for him?

I guess it’s between Monga, McAteer, Page or Alves, maybe even Ayew playing behind Daka 😬

For me, it has to be Monga or Page.

Oh well.

Probably will go on to be great but havent been blown away yet, just the best of a bad bunch.

Forced his way out of his last club, done everything to escape us...

I sense a bad egg and I hope his career catches up with his ego.

Agree he can **** himself, ****. I remember him saying he wanted to emulate Vardy as he was a hero, he's not fit to clean his boots in terms of loyalty. But I suppose thats sucky agent modern day money ball.

Glasner saying Eze is playing tomorrow in Palaces Conference League qualifier so this is going to rumble on for a while yet!

It’ll give us more time to sort a replacement

😂😂😂😂😂 nearly kept a straight face.

If we have Joao Rego lined up ready to replace BEK, loan with an option to buy, and he has a good season, it’s fantastic business to be fair. Big if though

Once BDCR is fit, we can have a front 3 of Ayew, Daka and BDCR. Absolutely nothing to worry about

Rudkin probably thinks Joao Rego is a posh Portuguese wine.

Not too late for Palace to withdraw from the deal if they think they've found a better / cheaper alternative....

We're then left with an unhappy  and unsettled player possibility at the end of the transfer window

Was probably 2 bottles down of the old Rego when he rejected 38 million for Slimani

First post here, but I had to weigh in. This might be an unpopular hot take, but putting aside how visually impressive BEK is, his performance stats suggest this deal favors us more than Palace. Last season, Eze scored 12 goals and had 8 assists across all competitions—20 goal contributions in total. BEK, on the other hand, managed just 3 goals and 4 assists—7 goal contributions.

He’s undeniably talented, but he currently lacks that clinical edge (see the penalty he missed against Huddersfield). Could he develop into a more lethal player? Possibly. But Leicester have both a goal problem and a budget problem. For context, Vardy scored 18 goals for us the last time we were in the Championship. Based on past performance, I’m not confident BEK can deliver that output on his own. Sure, he might have a breakout season—but that’s a big “if.”

We all know Daka isn’t a reliable goal threat, Ayew averages only a handful per season, and even Fatawu isn’t a goal machine. What we need are goal scorers—plural. I’d support selling BEK if we reinvest in one or two players capable of double-digit goal contributions. That would be the smart move given the uncertainty around where our goals will come from this season.

Agreed. I’ve played with players like him before, all the tricks and look nice but don’t actually offer any output.  I’m not convinced his passing or shooting are of a premier league standard and maybe he’d get away with it as an 8 keeping things ticking over but short of playing for man city or Liverpool, more is needed from a 10.

I think it would be excellent for us to bring in 30m for him I really do. That’s more than we got for Barnes lol

I have a niggling feeling if he stayed his numbers would be mediocre and he’d end up being seen as just another ghezzal

It's not his fault we are crap

I still believe eze Is holding out for arsenal or any other proper team that come in for him that isn't spurs 🤔

Can't say I blame him

If we lose him and Fatawu then all excitement is gone. We'll have nothing.

Yeah we should all ask for season ticket or FoxesHub refunds. It’ll be Ayew hogging the ball and Monga, who is just a child, being our sole threat.

I must of missed the part where he went Alexander Isak on us? Hes not a Leicester fan, he wants to play in the Premier league. Fair play to him. I dont get why people get so bitter about someone bettering their career

I keep reading sentiments along these lines and I would love for somebody to explain why they believe asset stripping the squad would make it more attractive to potential buyers. By far the more logical interpretation is that the owners either have no intention of selling or have tried to sell but given up due to lack of interest, and have decided to prioritize balancing the books over squad investment.

Spoken about by people who have no experience in in M&A or how to prepare a business for sale etc.

It just ''sounds good''
