I'm not 100% on how it all works but if it's too be believed that we are OK for PSR this season, the loan fee for this covers his book value for the season and gives us a jump on satisfying PSR next season when the £25m counts towards it.

I don't think we DO need the cash flow right now because I don't think we plan on bringing anyone in, outside MAYBE a few loans.

Yeah, this is inline with my thinking too. Unless we have decided he has to go regardless this window, and after so many decent seeming ‘outs’ - otherwise why would we be taking a dubious deal from a cash rich club?

Some people saying we had no choice to get rid, whatever the deal, after he threw his toys out of the pram. And yet 2 seasons ago, Gnonto and Summerville did exactly the same thing, didn't get their moves and went on to be key players for Leeds, with Summerville getting the Championship player of the year award. Anyway, no point my moaning about this any more, it's done now. Just hope we can bring in the 3 or 4 decent players we need in the next 12 hours. Can't say I'm at all confident about that.

This absolutely stinks of Rudkin & Neville getting shafted around the negotiating table. Last summer was an awful window when our best signing was the Morrocan Verrucca Salt. This one will be just as bad if we end up with Begovic as our only signing.

I wonder if this is similar to the structure of the Tielemans loan deal when he came to us.

I remember £25m being bounded about at first but because he hit the ground running his fee went up to £40m as he did so well and it seemed even though we may he have had first refusal, there must have been a bidding war otherwise his fee wouldn't have risen so much.

Obviously this worked out well for Monaco because he did so well - not sure if he had flopped whether we could have returned him with no obligation.

How good the deal is with Frankfurt might come down to how he adapts to the Bundesliga perhaps?

We always bottle it, which sets a precedent for others but if rumours of marti wanting him out, then the club had to move him really

We kept tielemans when his head had been turned and he proceeded to be one of our worst players while putting on 6 stone.

Indicative of how our standards have eroded since the title win. We have signed too many arrogant, self-serving martyrs who think that they are too good to play for us. We have been given an unexpected, probably undeserved new start with a brilliant manager who will help us reestablish a strong dressing room with characters who would be proud to wear our shirt and us feeling proud that they do. For that to happen, we have to avoid the bad apples such as Faes, Winks, BEK, Vestergaard.

Latest from Sky Sports News' Rob Dorsett:

Leicester have agreed a deal with Stuttgart for the transfer of Bilal El Khannouss.

The player will travel to Germany on Deadline Day for a medical.

The agreement is for a loan, with an obligation to buy for £26m (€30m).

That is broken down into a loan fee of £4.3m (€5m) and a future transfer fee of £21.6m (€25m).

So Rob reckons it’s an obligation

No idea.

Can it be as simple as having sorted this season’s accounts so this just gives us a head start next season?

Being an extra £10-15m off this year doesn't alter next year unless we spend it. We've been had.

So you are suggesting the 25m obligation for next year counts in this years calculation?

I dont understand why we'd set the fee, he is a decent player that will get better and still belongs to us, hopefully next season he'll be worth £35m+

What difference does that make the deal is done. See ya

Pretty sure this is all a PSR fiddle. If we've satisfied PSR for this year then it makes sense to work on next year's figures now if possible.

How? Lets say we comply for PSR for 25/26 = break even with the loan fee for Bilal and then book £15m profit in 26/27.

If you add it in to this year then you have a net gain of +£10-15m PSR 25/26. That doesn't reset to zero for 26/27.

It’s been reported that Genk have a 15% sell on clause. The 5 million loan fee I’d assume would be protected from that, seems like a clever way to protect our profit from Genk.

Yep

People need to lay off Jonny, £30m ISH for a fraud of a player, and profit...

No, what i'm saying is I don't follow the logic this benefits us for next year by doing so.

Isn't there a £5m loan fee or similar?

The only benefit I can see is when 25/26 is on the start of the accounting period. But I ain’t no accountant type.

This deal will only result in one thing, BEK will do extremely well and we’ll lose him for 25M instead of potentially a lot more.

We also win the absence of a moaning little bitch. :scarf:

I'm not sure what you mean by that. Like I said, I'm not 100% on how this all works but surely if the deal is £5m loan fee this year and £25m if/when the option is activated at the end of his loan, the 25m goes on to next years book?

If he doesn't want to play for the club anymore and throwing his toys out........good riddance to him.

He is a good player but by no means the finished article and could have learnt alot for a season in the championship
