CarolinaFox Posted 1 September 2025 Posted 1 September 2025 Honestly not bothered with him going. We're only talking about him because he's a flair player, but if we look at his stats he's nothing special. Its better for us to cut the losses here, get him off our books for PSR and open up some salary space in the budget for a late addition (if one is in the works) or for January. Do we think he was really going to knuckle down after wanting out and magically change into a proven goal machine and leader in the changing room? He certainly wasn't those things before. Let's see how he acts when Stuttgart finish mid to bottom table in the Bundesliga this year like they most often do. 1
fox_favourite Posted 1 September 2025 Posted 1 September 2025 To be honest, this spoilt baby "I'm going to stamp my feet because Im not getting my way, so there" seems to spreading in football. Looks how are doing it this season, it's not just Bilal annoys me that the players have no respect for themselves nor their employer. It's not a good look. 2

It’s rare you have true gems that will almost die for the shirt (vardy is one of the last of them). It's all about who do we have for this season and worry about next season then.
Popular Post Jon the Hat Posted 1 September 2025 Popular Post Posted 1 September 2025 Glad to see him gone after the last week or so. Again if we buy players who throw their toys out of the pram to come to us, we cannot be surprised when they do the same to leave us. 5

If Rob Dorsett was right regarding our PSR situation and we didn’t necessarily need to sell Bilal to do our recruitment then we’ve got a head start the following season which is vital if we don’t go up this year. Cashflow is going to be a bigger issue next season if that is the case. The £5m loan fee free’s up the PSR space for this season so doesn’t restrict this summer also. Finally, I would imagine the mandatory option will be based off amount of games played. We did similar with Yunus Akgun. 1
Bluetintedspecs Posted 1 September 2025 Posted 1 September 2025 I see a few on here are exercising their mandatory option to be negative and moan about unsubstantiated reports. Personally I see it as Marti and the club acting to get someone out of the club that clearly doesn't want to be here, irrespective of the deal good riddance and fair play in sorting it! 2

TBF Rudkin and co have done a decent job shipping players out this summer 3
STUHILL Posted 1 September 2025 Posted 1 September 2025 Same Rob from few days ago saying we would now only be accepting offers of £35+ million for Bilal? That Rob?? 1
Wigston2Canada Posted 1 September 2025 Posted 1 September 2025 What’s gonna make me lose my head is if we don’t replace Bilal, i’m not overly bothered about the structure of the deal as long as we do get paid, and the little scrote is gone. This is my fear and you can smell it a mile off — we won’t sign a Bilal replacement. We will only sign this Argentinian chap up top, and then be told that we didn’t need to replace Bilal because Ayew, BDR & Page are “more than capable” of doing a job in the 10. Makes me sick. Hoping we get Jordan James in 🤞 (Even tho he’s not an out and out 10 he’s a baller who would be a real coup)
Foxin_Mad Posted 1 September 2025 Posted 1 September 2025 We won’t be buying any players Rudderless is happy with the excellent quality squad he has constructed.

With him kicking up a fuss, and clearly being a disruptive influence, it's looking like that changed. 2. If it's a loan deal, then we haven't sold him yet, so technically I'm not wrong! 3. Shush 1
UniFox21 Posted 1 September 2025 Posted 1 September 2025 Does the loan fee count as overall profit we'd need to give Genk a percentage of?
Claudio Fannieri Posted 1 September 2025 Posted 1 September 2025 In this instance I back the club, clearly we had set our stall out that unless the terms of the release clause were met and once that expired our valuation was met, which seemed fair, he would not be sold on the cheap, clearly given his performance at PNE and subsequent absence from the squad, rumours of being disruptive in training, the club have somewhat had a gun held to there head by BEK and his advisors and have taken the decision to move him on in the best interests of squad harmony. This says a lot more about BEK than it is damning of Rudkin. At least the club have had the sense to shift him on rather than be stubborn dig there heals in and potential derail the season. 2
Ric Flair Posted 1 September 2025 Posted 1 September 2025 I just don't get this deal at all. Stuttgart are cash rich this summer. Don't see how a loan even with obligation benefits us and we're always desperate for cash flow. 3

It almost feels like we have decided we just need to get rid, no matter the financial implications in doing so. I’m hoping the reports are all wrong and it’s the club playing propaganda. 1

I'm not 100% on how it all works but if it's too be believed that we are OK for PSR this season, the loan fee for this covers his book value for the season and gives us a jump on satisfying PSR next season when the £25m counts towards it. I don't think we DO need the cash flow right now because I don't think we plan on bringing anyone in, outside MAYBE a few loans. 1
