Plus we have to factor in that it’s highly unlikely he fancies hanging around to play the likes of Oxford, Preston, Wrexham, Hull  etc etc when he can and should be playing top league football.

Oh yeah I agree with all of the above, but it highlights the absurdity of the whole situation.

They’ve already signed Maza who is a similar player at a similar stage of his career. I’d be surprised if they go for him rather than a more ready made Wirtz replacement with higher output.

Output wasn't great last year but he's clearly a brilliant footballer.

 

Pretty much the only reason I was quite looking forward to watching us play this season.

 

If we can afford to keep him we should. Even if it means no new striker and relying on Patson up top.

He didn't put up great numbers last year which is what I thought would put off bigger clubs. However if Leverkusen have tracked him since his time at Genk then they'll be aware his output was severely stunted.

I think there would be a few games that had a team been watching they’d have seen the potential. 
 

The man city game in particular, I don’t think it would be too wide of the mark to suggest he was the best player on the pitch. 
 

It’s hard to know if he’s inconsistent or we were just dragging him down.

I think a season in the championship could have a positive effect on his career, at just 21, he's got time on his side, but echo what some others have said if we are in THAT bad a situation where we need to sell and he is happy to try his hand there, then it is what it is and its another ship that has sadly sailed.

 

I don't think anyone's performances last season justify a huge price tag,  but for some context it was a slow start here for Bilal, Cooper seemed to favor Buonanotte, then when RVN came in he was given more of a chance to play, not sure if the comments that he wanted him at PSV were true, or he is an avid FM player. He didn't play a full 90 until we played Man City in December - by this point, the damage was more than done from a team perspective.

 

We saw flashes of quality, also saw a bit of grit, not scared to put tackles in or take a booking - not something we would see a lot of from our previous no.10 - he'd sooner push back his hair and pout if someone else took a free-kick.

Why would we sell what we paid for him? He looks a real talent, unless of course we're screwed financially so we'll take what we're given

Great player for us last season (reminded me of Mahrez in his first season, too clever for some of our players) we should be looking at making clear profit of at least £20 million on him with a decent sell on fee as him & Hermansen are our only true saleable assets…

The source was Sacha Tavolieri, the same person that broke the news BEK was signing for Leicester. 

 

Tav has set himself up like a mini Fab for Belgian football, he's pretty reliable and it seems likely he's connected to a fair few agents in Belgium. He posts some click baity shit that's only a half story, like this, the same as Fab does. But when he says something is happening with a Belgian player it usually is.
