Could see this happening (forest) , all depends on release clause for me.  If there is a pathetic one as suggested, we really have screwed ourselves and there’s not much we can do. If he has not, ask for silly money, they have it. This guy will be difference the next year, he will. He will be so much better in a dominant team and would be silly on the championship.

Let’s be fair though. Release clause or not, I put the chance of keeping him at about 1%.

To me they are proving that the ‘gap is too massive’ stuff is a nonsense. Because even sunderland can go up and sign all this top talent.

We simply didn’t have the bravery to compete. I would go as far as saying that’s our worst ever window. worse than even the champions league one.

Easily could made this season and easy one with the right attitude in the marked but cooper has utterly shafted us.

Sunderland will have low losses in the past 2 years so they can afford to spend a lot now and amortise the fees over the next few years.  When it falls apart is when they get relegated and cannot sell the players...

Difference being, they are signing players who will be able to be sold and probably on wages other teams will take them if they get relegated. Compared to our good old method of signing shit nobody else wants on astronomical wages!

Of course everyone intends to do that, we can only see if they do in a few years.

That Pete O Rourke exists just to piss us off with utterly baseless rumours that whip up a fanbase. Anything he says, you can guarantee the opposite will happen....so in this case, BEK probably stays :D

Don’t know much about this lad although he seems highly rated.

Is he as good as Gibbs-White?

Better than MGW, but no where near the levels of Madders

He's 100% going. Too good to play in the Championship and we need to cash in anyway sadly. I've made peace with it already. It's just a case of when and where.

If I could keep one player I think it’d be him, reckon he’ll storm it as an 8 in Cifuentes midfield 3. If he does go it’s to the highest bidder, and if that’s Forest then so be it.

Ipswich reject £35m for Omari Hutchinson - assuming he ends up going we need to use his fee as a benchmark. As another poster has said, Marti could well convince him to stay

I’m not sure there will be the desire for him to stay. In our predicament, bringing in £25/£30m to help strengthen a few other areas and reduce our debt will be hard to turn down.

Agreed, however, if we get good offers for Mads, VK, Faes, Ndidi and Soumare coupled with getting Coady and Vestergaard off the wage bill the club might decide we’re under no pressure to sell. Whatever happens, I don’t think we should be spending huge amounts regardless of how much comes in

He would be better off going to Spurs instead of them buying Gibbs White, El Khannous is going to be a great player…

That’s the biggest of ifs, and is unlikely hence why I recon BAK will be one of the first gone.
