Nothing to work with? I know it seemed like he fielded a team of reserves but there is no excuse for setting the record for no goals scored consecutive matches.

Look how many worse teams there have been over the years and at the very least avoided such a heinous record.

I think its more of a case of the players were simply not good enough, and Cooper done his transfer business for him.

We should be blaming the players for putting in no effort as well, they can't even manage to score a goal or create any chances or work as a team to stop chances coming our way.

Not bothered about him going but the players have been shite as well, even Ricardo said as much.

The squad wasn't great, but the nothing to work with rubbish is bollocks.

Leicester became the first club in top-flight history to go nine games without scoring at home.

Do you think that's acceptable with the squad he had?

Not to mention a squad that just scored 89 goals in the Championship and some of the most state of the art training facilities.
Shit teams have sneaked up through the playoffs and made better attempts at it with less funds.

Maresca was quite handsome, I would bump handsome managers up to "MIXED"

Randomly, I remember me and my wife arguing whether Enzo was or wasn’t good looking.

I obviously was in the “he pulled off his blazer well” camp.

having a squad good enough to stay up is one thing, setting Prem records for failing to score is another. Was that the worst team in prem history we have seen?

No.

if it’s all down to the players, whats the point in having a manager

I can only assume the club have worked out that doing it before the first 1st July, that the punishment will be the same with psr regardless of the costs to sack him.. so they've decided to take the hit in this year rather than start the next one behind.

As crap as he seemed.. I feel sorry for ruud... we didn't deliver on empty transfer promises..misled him on the situation at the club.. very similar to Rodgers final 18 months.

Best thing to happen now is Top announces he's sold the club

First paragraph is spot on I imagine.

The man was absolutely the wrong manager we needed for the plight we were in.

His strategy, tactics, in game management and general mental agility were absolutely shocking.

The worst manager in our history and that takes some doing

I don't feel sorry for him at all. Refusing to aknowledge the fans after each match and going over to the away fans when we lost to United and applauding them.

He played for them, I get that, but they weren't paying his wages. Show some bloody respect.

He clearly wanted out a long while ago and I bet he's as relieved as we all are that he's gone.

We'd never have appointed him if didn't beat us twice. That's how facile, how shallow the managerial recruitment is under our board.

I'm not joking that Foxestalk via committee could make better decisions.

Just got round to reading Percy’s article, I said numerous times over the course of last season how unlikeable this squad is.

Player power in full swing again.

We have a bunch of knobheads at this football club, and nothing will change until we get rid of them.

The problem is that we keep adding to them

Ruud knew he was gone weeks ago, just wasn’t allowed to talk. Guarantee he’s already been talking to clubs and he’ll be in a new job before we announce anyone. Phil

Just goes to show not enough scouting goes into players personalities.

When Thomas Frank was at Brentford for example, there’s no way he would have assembled a squad of the personalities that we’ve assembled.

We are currently in an era full of unlikeable knobheads.

Pearson was very good in terms of recruitment, didn’t always get it right but I believe him and his team placed a lot on personality and character etc

It’s runs deeper than that, though nearly 10 years go players were being called snakes. It’s not just the current crop.

Maybe Top is to blame because it’s all too friendly with the players

I don't disagree with either of you!

But one player signed in Jan, for a paltry £3m, doesn't scream having opportunities to change things up.

Therefore, not much to work with. I'm not making an excuse for him here. His choices were questionable at times and that's being generous! Pre-game, during matches and after a player had a good game he gets dropped etc..

I'm not backing him. But it's not as simple as saying he was shit when the club didn't exactly do much to help him out...

and that one player wasn’t even utilised, because he looked out of his depth.

so maybe a blessing in disguise, there was more of them.

You've gone beyond the point I was making.

He came in November and from what he said, had funds in January to use on various targets. When that transpires to be a £3m signing by the end of the window, it hardly screams having funds to 'work with'...

To be honest Rudd has been dealt an utterly shit hand from day 1.

No players, no coaching team, nothing.

He shouldn't have accepted such a toss job.

What's weirder is we have supporters that think him losing 9 games without scoring with players he didn't actually buy or want is bad but in the next sentence advocate for Russell Martin or bloody Carrick Hilarious!
