One way traffic since the goal, even the way Spain technically strike the ball is so much better than any other female team

Agree, technically they are very strong. I genuinely think they'd give most teams in the upper tiers of the men's game a run for their money. Excellently coached.

I thought technically both Spain and Germany looked way ahead of England's organized chaos but admittedly I watch very little women's football

Unsure why James started but here we are

If she's fit she's a match winner tbf. Hardly the first coach to start a star player that's not 100% in a final. She clearly hasn't been at the races but you can understand why Wiegman would roll the dice.

England don't have the most technically gifted side but they're well coached, organised in their own way and work extremely hard. They're a good side but you've just compared them to two of the other best teams in world football.

Germany have won this tournament more than anyone else and Spain have been a hugely emerging force in the last decade since they started taking the coaching of women's football much more seriously.

Silver lining with James injury we get to see Kelly a lot earlier!. Bad defending for the Spain goal. Spains passing is just so good but we are still in the match.

Must have a special treatment area at Chelsea for Lauren and Reece . A little room with their names embroidered on to the chairs as they spend most of their time there

Too many times managers have picked players not fit because they are the so called star player. Bit of insult to replacement

Really don't get all the poison directed at James. I feel sorry for her but I'm glad she's gone off. No excuses or blaming her for the defeat now. After the first 10 or so minutes England have been flat and wasteful of their chances; it's not been down to James dragging them all down and stopping them from playing.

Bronze has been just as bad to be honest, Hemp is really wasteful as well.
