So it felt like his forn had dipped for a few games and it was effecting him. That goal is going to do him the absolute world of good

Form or porn ?

Fatawa is now good and capable enough that you just pick him every game, unless he is too injured to play.

The type of player when you playing shit will just score out of nowhere.

He has developed very well, I remember saying Mavididi was better during their first season here, now Fatawa is light years ahead.

Pleased for the lad as recently his form had massively dipped. But he finished the match strongly after the goal. Im intrigued why he seems to have almost given up the drive down the line, relentlessly cutting inside. Its the equal threat of both that will trouble FBs. Stay unpredictable Fats.

When was this?  Has been our best player this season.

I agree with this... He does become a little predictable.... BUT if he lashes one in like that every game....I guess it's effective.

I'd like to see him go outside more often.

You've gone to the bother of editing this post - presumably to fix a typo - yet haven't corrected the name you mention twice? The very same name that is spelled correctly in the thread title? lol

Please help me to understand how this 'Fatawa' phenomenon came to be. It's frying my brain!!

I cant, just you need to get over that we are in a discussion forum, not writing essays.  If you think my posts are bad now I can stop editing them, then it will be another level.  Also its now on a mod to fix that sorry, as edit has timed out for me.

Interesting shout, for my money Fatawu has always been much superior to Mavididi. If I had to choose one to keep after the 23/24 season it'd have been Fatawu every time.

That is  pretty much self-evident.

People had serious blinkers on for mav last time out. I posted saying that he reminded me of Gray during his hot streak and that the amount of missed chances he had wouldn’t be sustainable in the prem and everyone called me ridiculous. But that’s because some people can’t see past goals. It’s the same people who give players a high match rating just because they scored even if they were muck all game.

Bottom line with him is that he would never make the step to the prem because he needs too many chances and too many extra touches. Very similar to knockaert, he can make you fall in love in this league but it’s clearly evident the next level is a step too far.

Fatawu on the flip side, the sky is the limit. He could very easily go to the top of the game if things go well for him. He has it all and we should cherish every game we get with him in our shirt.  There will always be a part of me sad we didn’t get to see Facundo, Bilal and fatawu line up behind vardy for one game… because that could have been flames!

His ceiling is absolutely massive and he’s producing goals in a system that imo currently makes it harder for him, if he had a midfielder running into the central channel or a full back consistently overlapping him as Ricardo/Justin/Ndidi did under Enzo he would have far more space to operate in and be dangerous.

Right now he’s doubled up on with no consistent overlaps leading to him being forced to go for the same cut in and shoot every time.

If we can give the team a bit more attacking freedom Abdul will go from strength the strength.

Let's not forget that we are also relying MAINLY on his attacking output.  Neither mav or Monga are producing at the same level as Fatawu.

I hope it will come in time for Monga, he is only 16 after all, but we can't rely on him for goals or assists at this point. It's an unfair expectation.
