Anyone see his goal today? Inside his own half

Nah. I'd gone down to get a pie and a warm pint. :) Did i miss anything special?

He took the shot right in front of us. I could swear i thought it was going wide and over.

One of the best things i've seen at the KP for sure.

Thanks Abdul. Not only one of the best goals I have ever seen live but the best advert ever for not leaving your seat early and trying to beat the half-time queues.

The bloke next to me and the one in front both missed it. My heart bleeds 😂

And my neighbour turned up late as per normal missing the first goal, was downstairs for the second and just got back up to his seat for the third. What a crap way to spend his afternoon!

There have been a few if these long range goals being lobbed over the keeper. My question what is the keeper doing so far of the line.

Its to do with conspiracy  theories or betting syndicates, why not just enjoy them?

The cherry on top is all the attention it's getting online and BC Game aren't on the shirt :)

BC game are above the name on the back, a lot of the stills used prior to the clips show it

Joey Gudjonsson is feeling sick tonight

It's weird.

They showed a montage before with his goal on it, and I said to my young lad about it being one of the best goals I've ever seen down there.

An hour later and his looks like a tap in lol

Fatawu’s goal is way better. I think it might be the furthest proper goal (i.e. not a Pressman or Begovic lump) I’ve seen. He was really unlucky with the Swansea effort - he deserves it for his ingenuity.

Even during this ‘bad run’ he’s set a few up, incredible player and the idiots that have unfairly badmouthed him will rue it when he leaves

Haha I think you might be right, I said down the pub its the longest, non gk/free kick goal i remember seeing

Love that he saw the keeper out and went for it

Making himself available for a safe pass should his defence need one

I mean its not sweeper keeper to be available for a pass. If people were scoring from 70 yards every week they might not come out

Stops more goals than it causes.

People are catching on to it though. [They used to be once in a lifetime. They are happening every other couple of weeks these days] (massively overstated due to booze and joy - but you get the point). Not detracting from Fatty's goal - his drive through two players and the strike were brilliant. But it will get coached into the game because goalkeepers are constantly way out these days.

Goal was up there with Muzzy against Grimsby Town, Vardy against Liverpool, Mahrez against Man City…an all-timer, skip the formalities and give this kid the Puskas now.

Thought I’d find a comment like this on here- it’s what I was looking for.

It’s a great goal, make no mistake, but to me, it’s not better than the likes of Vardy’s v Liverpool. Vardy goals aside, I think the best goal I’ve seen at the KP was Gallaghers second v Palace on Sir Nige’s return. Both technically harder goals to score. You see Fatawus technique on display possibly 20 times a game, with a keeper taking a goal kick

Keepers these days aren’t taking 20 long goal kicks in an entire season. I also don’t think I’ve ever seen a keeper nutmeg and skip past a player before blasting one into a goal.

My point still stands.

Good goal

Basic technique

Struggle to agree here - goal kick from a dead ball is entirely different to talking that shot on in a game situation.
