Struggle to agree here - goal kick from a dead ball is entirely different to talking that shot on in a game situation.

Also the awareness to do it.

Thanks Abdul. Not only one of the best goals I have ever seen live but the best advert ever for not leaving your seat early and trying to beat the half-time queues.

The bloke next to me and the one in front both missed it. My heart bleeds 😂

I didn’t miss it but you do know if you even attempt to go and queue and buy anything at the concourse at half time (especially a beer) you end up waiting so long you end up missing the second half - this is why people go down early

The techniques still the same though, other than the ball already rolling towards target.

Anyway, it’s just my opinion

Ipswich fans are having a moan that their keeper has been targeted a few times this season with long range attempts like that.  I'm wondering if it's something that was talked about before hand or if it was completely opportunistic from Fatawu.

Saw them mention on the ITV roundup show how close Fats came to this Vs Swansea too. 2 in a season would be nice. I guess as keepers have become more involved in the play they've moved up a touch.

My point still stands.

Good goal

Basic technique

I’m sure you’ll be just as happy for him as I will be when he wins the Puskas, haha. 😜

I like games where we can spend time after arguing about whether or not our player’s goal was excellent!

I can not stop watching this goal. My favourite angle is from behind our goal, and you see every city player begin running after Fatawu even before the ball hits the net. Nelson has his head on his hands and BDR is literally sprinting across. Probably the best goal we have ever scored, and in that moment this group of players actually celebrated and looked like a team again

Amazing goal, amazing result and brilliant to see the spirit. But I don’t think it’s close to being the best goal we have ever scored in my opinion.

Best individual goal?

I think I just rate volleys, dribbling, top corner screamers, etc. more than punts from the halfway line. I understand I’m probably in a minority and I might not be “right” but it’s a personal preference. It’s an amazing goal, amazing. But I can think of lots that I personally preferred.

I was desperate for a waz and very nearly broke before half time…. I clung on in there as ‘you never know’ !

My half time widdle was deeply satisfying (sorry for the queue build up behind me)

10 league goal contributions for the season after his goal yesterday

4 goals and 6 assists

I think he should be able to beat what he got last time (6 goals and 13 assists) and manage 20 goal contributions this season

In a much worse team too.

It’s obviously class, but I did wonder why he didn’t throw himself at it. Seemed to give up on it. I think he wanted it to go in as he knew it was special 😆

It's annoying me most of the replays don't show the nutmeg prior. Also lobs look much better when they don't bounce before crossing the line IMO, so bear that in mind for the next one please Abdul.

I agree but at 70 yards rather than 50 yards I think it can be forgiven. It's not a leisurely lob (sounds like a wank) a la Beckham, he's megged someone and struck it whilst running
