Nailed on for a Sunderland or Brighton type if it’s a prem move- last 20 minutes off the bench, phase his way in

If he hasn’t done enough for Prem but staying in England then it’ll be Wolves

If I had to choose between doing everything myself or passing the ball to Patson Daka, Bobby DeCordova Reid or Oliver Skipp I know what choice I would make.

I believe half the technically gifted players that could have saved us just gave up through exasperation halfway through the Prem season knowing the other half of the team is made up of Sunday League squad fillers.

He'll be great in a team that has other threats for the opposition to manage, good luck to him.

It’s such a lame excuse to say he hasn’t had players around him to trust. I don’t believe he has thought that anyway. He’s been too greedy for too many games this season.
There are enough players in our team with sufficient skill to play a simple pass and move with and he’d get the ball back in space ( which most of the teams we lost to did with ease).

His crossing in the last free weeks has been atrocious ( that’s supposed to be a basic strength of a good winger).
He has been mostly poor this season ( his goals were great) due to his own lack of application and/or a failure by each manager and coach to control him.

I don’t think he will play for a top club. He’s so far of Mahrez it’s untrue.

He is never starting regularly for a Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, PSG, Bayern, Juventus, Madrid, Barca etc. I’m not even sure he’d start for the likes of Forest, Brentford, Brighton, Everton now.

I could see him at Spurs, all fart, no shit in reality.

He’s been poor this season and a few highlight reel goals that people see, make for a nice YouTube video, however he is a one trick pony. Cut inside, smash it over the bar 9 times out of 10. He’s Cengiz Under with paceAgainst better defenders, I think he will struggle.

He will end up someone like Besiktas, PAOK, Al Etihad etc and just tick along.

Agreed with all of this until the Under comparison.

The lad was rapid and under utilized whilst here IMO.

Under’s assist for Vardy when they broke at pace and squared it, should have been a common feature under Rodgers!

At least he has posted what he thinks

and wrote it himself rather than a generic AI one. As many have said, not a team player and not good enough to be as greedy as he is.

Can’t see him being any more than a lower end prem player at best.

He will have a good world cup playing for Ghana alongside Ayew and we will get 20 million minimum for him, and Ayew will sign a new contract. 😀

May end up like Justin and play a load better in a more structured team where his team mates will ground him properly. He's a really good raw talent right now and the last couple of years at LCFC haven't developed him at all.

You say this like its a bad thing?

He's low on confidence and tries to do too much sometimes, but I'm not sure why he's being slated, had 16 goal involvements this season 1 more than JJ.

We’ve seen how good he can be, writing him off when the club has imploded is daft. He’ll go elsewhere and completely flourish - he’ll then move for at least double what we sell

him for.

Put him in a functioning team with an actual striker and he’ll fly.

Fatawu played 12 more games than James this season – and his form dipped massively after his injury in February.

Which could also explain the dip in form from Fatawu this year.

We've had 2 attacking threats  and as you've said ones played with an injury since Feb.

Fats usually has 2 or 3 players to beat, with very little help from Ricky P, so it's not hard to see why he's lost form.

I meant Fatawu.

1 goal and 1 assist in his last 12 league matches, after coming back from that knock.

He's stopped playing, hasn't gotten in as many attacking positions as before, and comes across as another one-trick pony (just like Mavididi).

He's easier to neutralize now, and our central midfielders sauf James are terrible going forward. Winks and Skipp combined managed 2 (!) goals so far.

James was out longer, with heavier injuries, and still manages to outscore Fatawu by a 2:1 ratio (before the Blackburn away game) – in fewer games.

People can complain about and blame Fatawu all they want, but we'll likely not have a player anywhere near as good on our books for another 5ish years, on our current trajectory.

You seem to have a real bee in your bonnet regarding Abdul Fatawu, quite strange to see

To rely so heavily on a 22 year old coming back from a serious injury once again highlights the failings at the club.

This. So hard to play when so much is expected of you all the time. At home games, if Fatawu has possession on the halfway line, the whole crowd goes up in anticipation; it's like he's expected to go half the length of the pitch, beat everybody and lay on an assist or score a worldie each time he has the ball.

He's easy to neutralise because he's both out of form/trying too hard and our only genuine threat so targeted by opponents. Keep him quiet and we have absolutely nothing in attack.

He'll go for less than his value and he'll push on elsewhere in a functioning team.

I'm not comparing Fatawu to JJ, all I'm saying is we've had 2 attacking threats all season, without any support from the strikers or other forwards, so it's little wonder they loose form.

Yes his form dropped off a cliff, but I don't understand why he's getting so much stick on here when we have a squad full of bigger cvnts.

He'll be one of the few assets worth any value,  according to transfermarket.co.uk he's valued at 24mil euro, but I bet we'll be lucky to get £10 million for him.

You'll see in the "Underperformer of the Season" thread, that I haven't included Fatawu. I agree, there are other players that are deserving of much more criticism.

His dip in form and contributions, however, is disappointing, to say the least.

Btw, Transfermarkt isn't gospel. I'd take their transfer value estimations with a big pinch of salt.

Not got the attitude nor mentality to get to where he thinks he is in his own head.

His attitude and mentality will likely improve massively when he joins another club.

Like every player who leaves us, they will be a much better player at their next club. Ridiculous to write them off.
