Hearing that shite trumpet pop goal music is triggering my PTSD 🤮

Good finish though Kasey.

Almost a year since Skipp joined and we're no closer to discovering what he's actually supposed to be good at. It's Dennis Praet part two except more expensive and somehow even less likely to score or create a goal

Gotta remember this is a preseason friendly.

This opposition is very good, they are very weill drilled and setup. A number of our players have been poor, but in terms of our setup and structure, there's a clear plan and identity. If we were weeks away from playing in the Premier League, I would be shitting myself, but not for the Championship, because teams won't have the speed and execution on transition that this opposition have.

It is frustrating to see the slow paced walking football at the back return when Vestergaard and Coady have it, but that has led to good moves when we play it through the lines after inviting on the press. That's what we are trying to do, and when it works, it cuts open the opposition. At the same time when we push a lot of players forwards, when we turn over the ball, we are at sixes and sevens.

The worst players have been Coady, Vestergaard and Winks. Winks actually is the one that annoys me the most, because this style should suit him and he just looks like he can't be bothered. Skipp actually hasn't been too bad and it's interesting he is playing at the base of the midfield 3 in possession.

Monga is absolutely incredible, the other youngsters have done themselves no harm at all either.

It's a really interesting match tactically and the manager will learn a lot from a game like this. The result is irrelevant really.

It's been said already but Ayew has to stop looking for the foul every time and just keep playing the ball on.

I was thinking the same. I don't mind games like this in pre-season. It shows the new manager our weakness' and it doesn't gloss over what we need but there ARE still positives to our performance so far.

What a talent Monga is man.

Why is he staying with us? He's had some bad advice lol

Probably because hes practically guaranteed to play loads of first team football at the age of 16. Most likely won't get that at a better club.

Vestergaard extremely poor on their second goal too.

Winks it at fault for the second, needlessly jumps from his position when Monga is already pressuring the opposition. Vestergaard is just too immobile now

He'll be even more desperate now we seem to have assigned him as the set piece taker 🤦‍♂️

Important point about Skipp v Winks. Skipp has hardly been great but he's looked far better than Winks has. Winks looks like he can't be arsed.

My main take away from that 45 minutes is Monga won’t be with us for long - so we best enjoy him while he’s here.

Yep, but on the plus side, we'll be able to re-develop the stadium with what we get for him

Vestergaard Coady and Winks look completely uninterested.

Which could indicate the likelihood of them being involved this season ???

couldn’t have a whole team which is leaving!

Monga plays for England before he's 19, not with us, but I thought I would pass that info on
