Jabfox Posted 18 August 2025 Posted 18 August 2025 I think £35-40m and the club will accept - hope I'm completely wrong Along with Monga one of the only reasons going down the KP is exciting at the moment. 2
Bordersfox Posted 18 August 2025 Posted 18 August 2025 We aren't going to get a replacement anywhere near as good whilst in the champ regardless of what we get for him. Hard no. If we have even the faintest hint of ambition left as a club. If the club think fans are p1ssed now, this would take it to another level. 2

Was just about to say the same thing price wise. Pretty depressing but we obviously need the money and you really can't argue with doubling up on your investment given the circumstances. Anyone thinking we'll hold out for £50m is crackers. 1
Guest Posted 18 August 2025 Posted 18 August 2025 Especially good work from us if he goes to Sunderland and we're stuck with McAteer on the right, who they had an offer rising to £10m turned down for in January 2 2
EnderbyFox Posted 18 August 2025 Posted 18 August 2025 I think that'll be it for me if we flog Abdul. Him & Monga are the only reason I watch as it is 3

Unbelievably depressing mate, have a horrible feeling this will happen 😣
lcfc_forever Posted 18 August 2025 Posted 18 August 2025 (edited) Rather it just said not for sale! Edited 18 August 2025 by lcfc_forever

Surely it needs to be more than Omari Hutchinson has just gone for though? Same age and Abdul got more G+A in similarly performing teams last time both were in the Championship. Not comparable, Hutchinson had 30 games in the Prem plus some of that money went to Chelsea in an add on. I think we'll accept anything north of £30 million.

Anyone thinking we'll hold out for £50m is crackers. if the club really really needed the money, theyd have accepted bid £10mil for McAteer and £5m for Thomas in January, not to mention the 2/3mil offered for Iversen last summer too Abdul will only go if a bid closer to £45/50mil comes in, anyone thinking the club will accept a stupid fee of £30/35mil is crackers, as i think Sporting have a sell on clause too the club are stupid, the arent that stupid
VLC86 Posted 18 August 2025 Posted 18 August 2025 Not sure how many times it needs mentioning that Sunderland’s £10m for McAteer was a loan with an obligation if they went up. They obviously did, but could have very easily not.

Happy Fox Posted 18 August 2025 Posted 18 August 2025 There is no present/future with Aiyawatt at the helm he needs to sell the club, assett stripping our first team due to his incompetence is completely abhorrent, we need to get rid of these charlatans. 2
CosbehFox Posted 18 August 2025 Posted 18 August 2025 (edited) The club will sell one of BEK or Fatawu if the figure gets up to £35m. That gets you towards £60m incoming transfers and keeps things at bay regards PSR. Probably a little change to spend but you'll see the club will execute all this too late. Edited 18 August 2025 by CosbehFox
st albans fox Posted 18 August 2025 Posted 18 August 2025 (edited) Selling players for a decent profit each summer is the way to progress but that relies on buying good replacements ……… so we’re fooked (I’m also hoping that the mads sale was the one which gave us a base to reject lowball bids on other players ) Edited 18 August 2025 by st albans fox
FoxFossil Posted 18 August 2025 Posted 18 August 2025 Presumably Rudkin thinks we can cover the loss of Fatawa, with Bobbie CR.

One hopes it is one or the other and not both, with the key factor being time. With most things nowadays the club drags things on, IMO intentionally to leave ourselves with limited time but be seen to try and sign some players. I'd like to think my opinion is baseless speculation and we make a late flourish in the market but based on the pattern in the last 4 years I wouldn't be surprised that they know they can't spend anything but see this as the best approach.

Would only be about £35-40m profit though wouldn't it? Let's hope we don't need to have cleared £60m PSR headroom otherwise Fatawu or many others need to go.

Mickyblueeyes Posted 18 August 2025 Posted 18 August 2025 he’s gone. Just about getting to final bid. You don’t start bidding without an Idea there is a deal to be done. Can’t believe it’s ****ing Sunderland though. Hate Top so so so much.

We didn't even play him much after so lets say a 30% chance of going up - there was vey little to lose. We could have ended up with £20m from the sales of Cannon and McAteer . It's genuinely like the severity of the FFP/PSR situation has only just occurred to the club 4
