I’ve just watched the goals. He’s getting loads of stick for the fourth but I feel a bit sorry for him on that one. He clearly starts with the intention to catch it but then sort of collides with his defender and decides to punch/slap it out at the last second. Unfortunately it went straight to Caicedo…

He’s just very weak and un-dominating.

He had a few good games with shot stopping at the start of last season but I said at the time, I didn’t recall him particularly winning us or keeping us in games in the promotion season.

A good deal for us. If we were reinvesting which is the issue.

Hopefully a teachable moment for them begging for Potter previously as well.

I cant see him being depressed at the transfer as the pundits described the muppets.

You've obviously never suffered with depression and have no idea what you are talking about.

Money doesn't cure or prevent depression.

They seemed to swing all of the set pieces close to his six yard box so I suspect his old manager did a bit of a job on exposing his weakness....

he is to small to be top class

He's got a rep for being rubbish from set pieces and he's going to be targeted every game. Image what Arsenal will do to him. If this carries on, he'll be worth 4-5M at the end of the season.

Form is temporary, class is permanent.

Mads Hermansen will play at a higher level than Leicester City consistently over the next decade.

The confidence in Stolarczyk is also far too high at the moment in my opinion. Jury still very much out on whether a promotion-chasing Championship side should have him as number 1.

Impeccable timing by me there.

If I say people are writing Patson Daka off too early, is that how this works?! :P

Rob Green made the point after the game he'd only played 1 pre season game as we know, probably isn't fully up to speed yet and he's playing behind that shower of shite backline, I think even Faes is better than them

hes the same height as Kasper Schmeichel and he was absolutely top class. Height is wildly overrated as far as importance for a goalkeeper goes, a good reading of the flight of a ball will do more for you in claiming crosses than height will

Ironic thing is, he had the game of his life for us at Arsenal last season

Would have been double figures if it wasn’t for him

Hope it turns around for him tbh, he was bloody good for us

They have a tippy tappy manager, and when that strategy doesnt work it can make the back line look awful as it leads to no protection from the middle of the field.

i think we should be careful with pointing fingers and laughing here, the damage last season would have done to our whole squads confidence, can’t be under estimated.

we have plenty of players that could and should be much better but the toxic nature of our season has drained them.

i look at players like mavididi and they just look a shell of themselves. Marti has a huge job on his hands and i hope we have a good sports phycologist around the club

Tielemans and Barnes both made poor starts at their new clubs after leaving us as well - I'd give this one a bit more time. We are clearly not bringing the best out of people these days.

that is a weakness in his game, it's a weakness in most young keepers mind, because it very much is something you develop as you gain experience. his reflexes and distribution will take him far assuming he gets over the injury he had last season.

He is a bit undersized to be a top keeper and obviously that also affects his ability to claim crosses. Jakub is exceptional at that but it helps being 6 4" or 6 5". Having Jakub as a ready made replacement makes this a good deal for us.

Not really though, they scored 4 with an xG of 4. Yeah Danny Ward probably lets in 6/7/8 but from my memory most of those arsenal shots were pretty poor.

I think it was overplayed at the time because he made a high number of saves, which most goalkeepers would of after 35 shots.

Over rated, made plenty of mistakes for us. £20m+ is fabulous. (Don't think Mads reaches that Stolarczyk save yesterday.)
