Unless he was doing that during a game that he was supposed to be at, seems like a strange reason to be upset. They are human and have lives outside of football.

I do agree that he looked unhappy all game. I think he wants the reported Valencia or Fiorentina move.

He posted it during the match if I remember rightly, AFAIK he was told he wouldn’t be included in the match day squad so decided to go for a beer garden day rather than be at the ground with his teammates regardless of whether he was playing, it’s club protocol to be at the game.

edit: photo was posted before the game.

The EFl have got more of a beef with us than  you son. We had their pants down

Well good luck as without VAR it is now in the hands of the EFL.....

He was involved in active play, as basically went for the ball but missed.

but this is objective and is an opinion. This is not a clear an obvious foul,.  this is very different to the EFL refs conspiring against you as you insinuated.

Are we sure all the supposed boos for Faes are such? I thought it’s weirdos shouting “WOUTTT”

Thats what I heard. No one seemed negative towards him around us.

Some of our fans on social media are deluded!

Wednesday were never going to turn up and just roll over lol

They sat deep and made things very difficult for us.

To be fair we looked average in the first 45 minutes but the most important thing for me is that Cifuentes was able to identify what changes needed to happen and implemented them early on.

The second half was much better. We could've easily won by 4 or 5 goals.

I was really impressed with Fatawu, Monga and Winks.

Also keeping Bilal is a must!!

I never said that they were conspiring against SWFC, but just that they missed an offside an sent our player off.... The 1st goal by Leicester looked offside whether he touched the ball or not as he was 100% offside and involved with play.... Then the 2nd yellow for Wednesday was most likely appropriate, but the sending off was due to a soft yellow earlier for descent... However, given the circumstances I can understand why you might have thought that....

Normally when we lose, even if we didn't deserve to, its all 'well its about results'.... but never seems to apply to us! 😄

Honestly, there are 'fans' on here who would have preferred us to lose.. pathetic stuff.

Winks over Skipp. Get Faes out of the club whatever it takes.

But a well fought 3 points to get us started this season, fair play to Wednesday they give it a good go.

Just scored a vital late winner in a game against Dog And Duck FC (down to 10 men, no less) on the opening day of the season and “get Faes out the club whatever it takes” is the thanks he gets..?! 😂

OK, he’s been largely hideous for us since arriving, but today of all days, surely he deserves a shred of credit for rescuing us haha?!

Most shots on goal, most shots on target, biggest XG, most saves by a goalkeeper and most shots on goal and on target by a player (Ayew 7 shots, 5 on target) this weekend from any championship club - really should have been 3 or 4-1

disappointing first half, but still well worth the win

you said they stepped in to ensure the result… I think it’s fair to interpret that as them conspiring against you

Wasn’t offside else it gets brought up in any post game analysis. Also, don’t give the ref the opportunity to book you for dissent, it’s that simple.

Well done the Wednesday fans who were loud and proud and good on the City fans who clapped them in. :appl:

Ayew, BEK and Vesty grew into it. Good.

Fatawu really good again.

Don't like to see a City player get booed ONTO the pitch, but he gave it back  lol

Who got booed? I’ve missed the game due to work

Thought the first half was pretty worrying, we just didn't turn up and had a very uninspiring midfield. Thankfully Marti recognised this and changed at half time, with Winks making a huge difference.

I thought at times they looked fearful of us second half and the red card probably made the win inevitable. Work to be done though.

Faes came on as a sub.

I called it in the match thread as he waited on the sidelines and loads of comments were posted in here "Faes, FFS" etc,  that he would probs get booed as he came on and so it came to occur.  Quite audibly on the TV.

Whilst some are suggesting maybe it was fans saying "Wooot", no it wasn't, it was deffo booing him.

You could see on the TV Faes heard it and grinned, shaking his head, so when he scored, that's why he cupped his ears at the fans.

Doesn’t he get any credit for scoring the winner?

This negativity from our fans towards certain players will end up costing us this season.

VAR aside and any decision people are getting their knickers into a twist about we were hammering their goal and they were time wasting for at least 45 minutes. Without the heroics of their keeper who I’m sure will be snapped up soon we’ll have probably be sitting here with a comfortable win.

Wednesday gave their all as we knew they would but second half was one way.

Some of your predictions were laughable.

A squeaky bum win is about what I expected.

We'd have lost it they hadn't got a red.

Even though they’d barely stepped foot in our half when they had 11, in the second half lol
