For the time being half hearted Winks is a better option and then it's probably Soumare who edges the who's the least shit competition between him and Skipp. Would be a god send if they felt Page could play in a 2 but I don't see it yet. 

 

Mavs probably still gets first go, and I'd still pick Daka due to the fact he can run (that's as good as it gets from our strike options) 

 

It's going to be Vestergaard and Faes again isn't it?

I think we may be well beaten. My aspirations for this season are as follows:

 

survive in the championship

stabilise the finances

offload as many surplus to requirement players as possible 

progress as many young players as possible 

 

start next season with a decent team spirit, the ability to make squad additions, and 4 young players currently on the fringes as first team regulars

If that happens, we'll be a championship club again. 

 

We need a fresh outlook, a new DoF with new and modern thinking. Until that happens we're rotting away.

Yes I like this.  Mavididi but I  wouldn't mind monga either  - what a talent. I could see okoli starting as well and soumare. Like monga page and Nelson and some of the other academy players they deserve minutes and perseverance but it will take time and balance.

Get Soumare and Skipp out of that starting 11. Winks and Page to come in.

 

Nelson for Okoli if he’s off to Milan.


If Bilal leaves I have no idea what we do….

I'm prepared to give Cifuentes alot of time to get things right because of the shitshow he's come into. But if he keeps picking Soumare then my patience is going to wear thin pretty quickly. I know the options aren't great but I'd even have Hamza in there ahead of him

I think this is the team I'd go with as well. Massively torn on Hamza as he's not disciplined enough to track runners but neither is Soumare. I can't have Skipp and Winks as a partnership either as it won't work.

 

Page will hopefully grow in to the role but at present he's probably best suited to being a sub.

 

Hamza will help the team press but Ayew makes that difficult for the front 5 to do in unison.

Yes! But sadly I can’t see him being able to cope with the physical demands of playing CM every week in this league but aside from that I totally agree

Agreed. I’m loathed to put Faes and Vestergaard in, I really am. But Okoli looked ropey and Nelson didn’t have a good day last night. That box in the centre of the pitch is a major issue. It’s where we are the weakest and it’s a nightmare situation because we will end up conceding so many poor goals. There’s a remarkable lack of fight. 
 

Part of me just wants to persevere with Nelson and Okoli and hope they form a good relationship.

Need to work out who wants to play and who is just here for payday....then pick a team....if it's shit and full of kids so be it....rather that than watch Prima donas like Soumare wander around giving zero f####

This is the one, I would like Nelson to start but he didn't fill me with confidence last night, still prefer to start him but won't be too upset if he doesn't
