Who from their last team that they put out would you like here?

Not one player, but I can tell you, they will want this more than we will.

Been poor in their opening two, like us. General consensus is they will struggle this season. But, they’re a team of battlers and scrappers….. and so far that hasn’t bode well for us for the best part of a year.

Someone’s probably already put this variant up, but I’d go.

                     Stolarczyk

JJ. Okoli/Nelson. Vestegaard Thomas

                        Winks

             Page.             El Khannouss

Fatawu.                                      Mavididi

                          Ayew

Press the hell out of them and expect them to hit long to Smith and Osmajic. Need to be super strong in the air defensively.

Then Vestergaard can't play.

For someone so tall he's rubbish in the air.  It wouldn't surprise me if Tyrion Lannister from Game of thrones could out jump him.

I appreciate that Nelson's first half performance against Huddersfield was less than Stella, but he is better in the air,  in tackling, and has more pace. The lad when switched on can pass too

Pains me to say it Faes would be my choice to partner him. The res ov your selection I'd go with as well.

Just as long as the "Jogging Donkey" is left at home I'll be happy.

If Ricardo still isn't ready, here's what I'd like to see:

                    Stolarczyk

Aluko     Nelson     Okoli     Justin

                        Winks

             Page    El Khannouss

Fatawu                              Mavididi

                        Ayew

However, that is a very young side that lacks experience, so more realistic line up would be:

                    Stolarczyk

Justin    Nelson    Vestergaard   Thomas

                        Soumaré*

             Winks       El Khannouss

Fatawu                              Mavididi

                         Ayew

* I don't want Soumaré to play, but I really can't see what other option is likely. And I'm not rating Skipp.

No, its the Championship, a league where you've just got to be a bit less sh1t than your opposition.

I genuinely love the Championship. Ask me again if we have a period of being the absolute pits this season or we stay here for a few years but until then it's exciting aaaaiiinnn't it

Do you though? Or is it the play-offs we love and that blinds us?

I can’t stand it. 46 games, relentless,  about 5 games a week it seems.

You seriously want Nelson to start after how he played on Wednesday?

He massively improved 2nd half. He needs games.

As previously said, if PNE battle & try to bully us, we'll roll over, start the blame game & lose. Having no on field leader is an issue.

Having said that, we're only 2 games in & time to show a bit of fight. 2-1 City.

Key to today is how we deal and cope with PNE’s front two, both are physical and will make it a battle, important we don’t allow them to bully us. They have ability but if we can get on top of them we should win as I think they will struggle to contain our attacking threat.

Soumare has to play, it's the law.

Don't want to see sideshow bob on the field if possible. Nelson and Vesty to start CB. Monga over Mavididi as Monga will have beat his man and put the ball in the box or passed long before Mavididi has back tracked, stepped over and lost possession.

I hate it with a burning passion 🙈 plus if you’re bad, it’s like being stuck in purgatory hosted by Theresa May!
