Main issue with Ayew up top is teams will just do what Preston have done today, sit 5 men up high and compress the centre of the pitch knowing that nobody is ever going to run in behind.

Daka to come on to stretch the line will give us the space to control the game centrally.

I'm as down as anyone on us and even I'm staggered at how bad we are.

We are rotten.

We can’t keep playing this way with Vestergaard. He’s too slow.

Winks half arsing as well

Our defence is as bad as it has been since we were last relegated from the Championship. No great shock considering we've steadfastly refused to improve it in going on 5 seasons...

To rub salt in the wound the only player who has the potential to work up to EPL level, Ben Nelson, isn't even a starter.

Too predictable unfortunately.

Our movement off of the ball is too easy to defend against.

Ayew looks completely isolated and he should be no where near corners! How on earth we have ended up with him on set pieces I'll never know. Absolutely shocking!

I'd take Soumare off and put Monga on centrally playing just off of Ayew. We need someone in the middle of the pitch thatcan receive the ball in tight spaces and create a bit of magic.

Thought Cifuentes was the deal although not keen on his appointment. Think I was a bit hasty. This is just pound shop Pep MkII well past its sell by date.

I think we are vastly overestimating our squad.

I'd take top half this season based on this. We're bad.

Gavin Ward as referee?  lol

We've got no chance.

Is his mate still on here?

Lack of effort generally happens when you have poison in the dressing room, not everybody on board so nobody makes the effort, ciffuentes needs to root this out, trouble is theyre most likely our most capable players, we need signings

Yeah this is how it looked and felt in 04-05.

I think this is spot on. Whilst the squad wasn't great, there was enough to get something, but they didn't mesh, half looked like they didn't care or want to be here and we finished poorly. They say football runs in cycles . . . so I'm just hoping we'll win the league again in 2035/36 season, but this is dross.

I've seen many matches where the favourites don't do particularly well first half, but win in the end. Let's see how this goes. If at full time we've played the same and lost, fair enough... it just feels like premature winging.
