A draw would be a very good result, I don’t see a win as a realistic outcome.

Really, we just need to avoid the embarrassment of double relegation (although it would expose those running the club for what they are), so just need to get to about 60 points (in case we do get slapped with a deduction down the line).

They’ll be bang up for this our players won’t. Simple as that really.

least Ayew will hold onto the ball too long to win a foul though. That’ll help.

Will be tough this, Charlton will be a difficult place to go to this season.

I don’t see Bilal being involved, can see it being.

              Stolarczyk

Ricardo Okoli Faes Justin

          Soumare Winks

Fatawu      Ayew     Monga

                   Daka

It’s staggering, going from European football, to hoping you can get a draw at Charlton away. The fall of this football club is the most shocking decline in English football history.

Yep. Until more people, Aiyawatt and those in the club as well as too many of our fans wake up to this reality, it is unfortunately where we are.

The team will be

                             Stolarczyk

Justin          Okoli      Vestergaard    Thomas

                    Winks         Soumare

Fatawu                  Bilal                  Mavididi

                              Ayew

I full expect Bilal to play until he’s 100% gone. I don’t think the deal with Palace is as far down the line as the media is suggesting.

Surely we won't see Vesty starting again? With his lack of pace, he's simply a sitting duck in this kamikaze system being deployed by Marti.

Add to the fact we're getting outspent by teams like Wrexham!!

We will. Marti is already looking like Ruud. He’s just going to pick the same team week in week out until he eventually gets sacked. Probably rotating that CM….

£10 on Charlton. Free money.

Those Charlton odds are hilarious. £10 on a Charlton win £5 on a draw just to cover it off in case. Easy easy cash.

I would say Marti is better than Ruud as he sees when things need changing and does it. Ruud stood there with the empty brain look. Marti is being let down by the players that are either lazy, not bothered and lack enthusiasm so his tactics are falling apart as it relies on being on the front foot and pressing.

We looked decent in preseason and looked structured, but just with some work. But some players have given up already and that isn't helping.

New players will help massively but he's come at the wrong time and getting anyone in seems a pipe dream. Some young talented players who want to prove they are good enough is what we need on loan. Some fresh enthusiasm

Ruud was just poo

I agree, I don’t blame Marti at all, o think he has been hung out to dry by some of the squad.

He’s trying to pick the better players, but they just don’t give a ****. This club is so rotten at the moment.

We will be a different side with Ricardo in the starting 11, a bit like last season and the season before that.

Hopefully he's fit to start and play 60mins but this might be a week too soon.

An even better bet, at 28,000/1 is the 'bookies impossible treble' :

Leicester to win in London

Daka to score a goal

Soumaré to tackle an opponent

i'll save my £25, as that last leg is too long a shot!!
