Gonna agree a contract with someone in January and then spend the rest of the season somehow being even more lazy

Yep, happy if he never pulls a City shirt on again.

People main about Daka but at least he give he puts effort in.

Every time he plays there will be precisely one moment where he takes the ball on the turn, shoves his opponent out of the way and drives up the pitch to start an attack. When he does it he looks like a world beater but he seems to only do it once and then spent the rest of the game jogging about without a care in the world and with no idea of what is going on around him.

I cannot be arsed with him. He shouldn't be starting games for any serious club.

His stats for us are;

106 games played

0 goals

2 assists (the Fatawu screamer vs Charlton and the Barnes screamer vs Leeds in 2021).

In the last year he's in the 5th percentile of tackles won vs midfielders in the top 14 leagues (meaning 95% of midfielders make more tackles per 90 than him).

This is mindblowing. I had to check it - I mean I knew it would be right as it makes sense in regards to time he's been here, but on the other hand, it's unbelievable.

Forget Akinbiyi, some of the duds we've had in the past, this clown is really, really high on our worst ever signings, in my opinion.

I would love to see someone from the media ask MC, 'what do you see in him Marti - the energy is low, the quality is low, his stats tell you everything'.

Edit * is there some FFP or financial thing here at play - it just makes no sense.

Just pay him off and send him packing.

He don't want to be here,we don't want him here.Do a deal with him and move on.

i assume we would be financially worse off to pay him off as all the  money would come out of this years budget. We’d be better off running down his contract if paying him off was being considered. The problem of course is that he is being well paid so there’s no  benefit for him to mutually terminate his contract to find another club.

the issue is that we keep playing him.

If he stays till end June then we have to pay his wages till end June

if we can move him on for free in Jan then someone may take on those wages in lieu of any loan/tramfer fee.

all monies are inside the current financial year so makes no difference to us re timings

My apologies, I thought he had another year left

Got to be up there for the most appearances without a goal for outfield players?

Quick bit of research (chatgpt ) says that he's a while off of Frank Womack's record of 511 football league appearances for Birmingham without a goal.

In terms of modern football it's Tony Hibbert who had 328 appearances for Everton without scoring (but did score in his testimonial lol).

Not certain but I think Leicester's record belongs to Danny Simpson who went 113 games without a goal.

Soumare is currently on 106 so breathing down his neck.

I did only mean for Leicester tbf. With any luck he won't make any more appearances.

League 2 player of the year 27/28. Foxestalk user pmcla26 says this proves all he needed was a good manager.

Definite candidate for worst ever signing.

We've had some poor players that were punts and didn't work out.

This one we played Stella money for in the hope of European football and can't cut it in the championship.

Over 100 appearance shows the staggering level of incompetence at the club.

Nothing personal just objective observation of footballing ability.

He’s not even the worst signing at the club right now lol probably not even in the bottom 3.

Daka, skipp easily ahead of him and carranza looks like the worst player we’ve had since Ryan mcgiven.

In 2021 after finishing 5th in the league for the second consecutive season and after winning the FA Cup we made four signings to give us the firepower to get to the UCL...

BERTRAND

DAKA

SOUMARE

VESTERGAARD

Let that level of incompetence sink in...
