A rarity of a player that I genuinely wish good luck to as he leaves.

KDH/Prem winners aside I can’t remember the last player who left who I felt anything other than either anger or apathy towards.

He genuinely looked miserable as sin at EFL awards last night. I bet he can’t wait until he can escape back to France.

The thought that we could have realistically had JJ and KDH as the midfield two. I feel sick.

Pretty sure he'd still have to agree to stay with us. The option would just be a pre-agreed fee with the selling club that we get dibs on.

I feel pretty confident we shan't be seeing him in a Leicester shirt again.

There's only situation I could see that happening in. We tell Jordan that we'll buy him and sell him to another club if they come in with an offer of £10m. Rudkin messes the deal up and the poor lad ends up stuck with us. lol

Fair, I haven't looked into it at all. I assumed that the contract agreement was agreed when the initial loan deal was made, and we then had an option to trigger it based on that pre-arranged deal with JJ signing it on the basis that he would have thought it incredibly unlikely that we actually go down. I think you're right we won't see him in an LCFC shirt next season Imo, he doesn't deserve it also, should move along with our blessing. I'm all for holding players to their contract where possible, but not when they haven't done anything wrong and are not responsible for the decline, we have a club to think about, but honest players like JJ shouldn't be dragged into this.

The perfect scenario would be we somehow trigger him signing permanently and immediately offer him for £10m to Brentford/Palace.

a good player, but what a melt for saying what he said about us never going to down to league 1 and we must be mad. Complete arrogance from the lad

In fairness to him if the rest of the players showed half the fight he has, we wouldn't be relegated. He obviously didn't realise that our squad has no professional pride. Good luck wherever he ends up, he's a diamond.

Just wish we could insert a "...but we don't mean you" on the end of the songs but hopefully he knows that from the positive one(s) he hears about himself.

His determination and spirit should not have stood out though, that should be the bar, the level, all players are different but not putting a shift in is inexcusable but in addition his attitude has been spot on and his attainment, the ten goals and the bit of extra drive has surpassed all others.

Amazing how you can strike gold with this guy, who ends up clear top scorer, and still finish second or third last.

Second-best scorer in this team (11 goals, 4 assists) in terms of league matches.

Only Fatawu is slightly better (9 goals, 7 assists), but he has played 43 times, as opposed to James' 32 matches this season.

I know which one I'd make captain.

If he has two more goals than Fatawu, that makes him our highest scorer, no???

I'm counting goals and assists here.

But yes, just in terms of goals scored, he edges it.

Damning stats for Fatawu. What a letdown he's been in the second half of the season.

Yeah I know, but nobody says someone 'scored an assist' do they??

I feel exactly the same way but I’d love him turn around and say he is joining and although it’s been a crap season he will fight for us and give it a go for one year in league one. Very unlikely I know as he doesn’t owe us anything but it would be a big step forward in our rebuild. We need players with passion ability and energy who will fight for the badge and hope that it becomes infectious.  Either way he has been the bright spot of this season for us and that will not be forgotten.

I don't want to speak out of turn and speak on behalf of FT, but blowjobs all round for JJ if he signs for this circus.

I’ve never tried but if he stayed, **** it. Surely only tastes like unseasoned chicken ?
