Lets not get carried away. Top end championship player not sure his ceiling is too much higher

He's only 21 and has had a great season in a very poor side he will be in a top mid prem side within the next 3 seasons

Probably the only player this season I’d even describe as Premier League quality. So good and mature you completely forget he’s only 21, even after winning the Young Player of the Season award.

Will be interesting to see what happens though. There might be a few question marks over his fitness. Did he have injury problems at Rennes too?

Football is turning up every single worst case scenario currently so brace yourself for him grinning next to Lampard in a few weeks time.

I think Cov or Wolves is where he ends up.

Was always going to happen but the reality of it being all but confirmed feels like yet another kick in the teeth. Of course he wouldn't want to stay but I was at least hoping we may trigger the option to buy if only to immediately sell at a profit. No doubt dumb and dumber either agreed to a break release clause in the event of relegation or are simply refusing to stump up the cash even though it'll benefit the club.

By far our best player this season, and the one who showed more effort than all of the overpaid crap we've managed to accumulate. I wish him all the very best for the future and have no doubt he'll go on to enjoy a long career in the premier league. Thanks JJ 💙

It would be a good move for him, learning his trade from a world class midfielder. Wish him the best wherever he goes.

I wasn’t suggesting they have the same ability or ceiling. They’re both players who we had in our grasp and would have vastly improved our squad but for the ineptitude of the club.

Good luck to him, by some miracle a player managed to come out with credit from this season.

Another half a season player.  Started great, sadly went missing when we needed him most.

Came back nowhere near the same after his injury, I sort of felt he wasn't up for the fight.

That said if he's available at £5m then he's a great buy for someone

Deserves no blame for relegation. Will be a really decent premier league player. But the quote about us going down means I can’t be fond of him. Just a player who played for us in our worst season ever.

Thanks for your service but that was a really stupid quote about us not going down - Madison esque

I mean it wasn't though, was it?

What on earth is he supposed to say when asked the question? "Yeah we're ****ed mate"?

Talking in absolutes in interviews like that is stupid. He won't do that again in his career I shouldn't think.

Of course it was stupid. ‘If you think Leicester can be in league one you’ve lost your mind’, well we’re now in league one so I suppose we must have lost our minds.

It’s a really naive interview.

He’s a 21 year old footballer.

He wasn’t complacent on the pitch, and he’s basically the only one who wasn’t, give him a break.

Shame that people are looking to target or blame a young footballer for showing a bit of passion and fighting spirit in an interview.

If his team mates had half of his motivation we wouldn't be in this mess.

I have no problem with him having confidence and positivity.

Nobody is blaming him stop being a drama queen.
