I thought he had a quiet game last night, apart from a great free kick for the goal.

He's probably not yet 100% fit and is wary of over-exerting himself.

It´s a bit worrying that he hasn´t played a full 90 since he came back (I think). I hope he doesn´t get injured with Wales

He only played 56 minutes…..

… but the last 26 mins of that, he limped around holding his Achilles...

Just hope they don't risk him in the next match (assuming Wales progress).

Believe all playoff losers play each other in a friendly instead. Pointless. But hope James doesn't play

I actually hope he does play, at least that’ll mean he’s not crocked 😂

Yep. I don't really know why so many here are so happy when our players are selected for international games. I want Leicester players to be fit and do their best for Leicester City. Don't want them getting injured or having heads turned by money talk when going off on international week.

Looking at the positives, he won't be showcased on the big World Cup stage this summer which might give us an outside chance of signing him on a longer term contract if we do retain Championship status.

Can't see it to be honest.

If he's good enough to keep this absolute shower up he'll likely be spotted by a club able to pay more than a bag of peanuts and two sticks of gum. If the outcome is League 1, then that bag of peanuts and two sticks of gum will likely prove highly fanciful as a transfer kitty.

Also, unsure he'd want to stay either way, wasn't he signed when the club thought they'd walk the league again just by turning up?

We do have an option to buy. If we stay up and want him, we can have him at the price agreed.

I’m sure there’s plenty of lower level Premier League clubs keeping tabs on him. He’s showed what he can do at Championship level in a very poor side and he wont command a big fee so he will have plenty of options in the summer.

Obviously I hope we stay up and he signs permanently. You can tell he loves it here but there will be better options available to him in the summer.

James watch… he’s stood up in the wales huddle. Only positive is that when he went off Cullen was ready very quickly, possibly planned.

Planned at half time

’see if it’s stiffened up at half time and if so, try and run it off ‘

markedly limping off the pitch so it certainly didn’t loosen up!

I imagine his ankle is quite stiff this morning so hopefully doesn’t say yes to playing the next Welsh game but if still out for our game we now have cover for 10.

TBH we weren’t getting the best out of him at 10 partnered with Skipp & Winks so if those 2 play we have 10 cover with Makasa & Ramsey being back fit before we go to Bobby.

The issue is we have no real quality sub to come off bench or even start in rotation for Skipp / Winks if JJ is injured.

“Wales international Jordan James is having a scan after being taken off in the World Cup play-off semi-final against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday night, but the initial diagnosis is not thought to be serious.”

An option to buy works both ways. He doesn't have to accept our offer.

I reckon JJ will be off to Cov in the prem for next season. He scored against them so he will have made an impact. No way will he, his agent or Dad want him to stay here with this shower especially if it’s Div 1 football confirmed in the next few weeks.

This is what I thought but apparently it’s not true. The option is ours to exercise or not—JJ will have already agreed the terms.

That's interesting and not what I would have expected. I wonder if that holds if we are relegated. Hard to think his agent would agree to reduction in salary under any circumstances and he would have been badly advised/foolish or both to agree to such terms. Of course we may not be able to afford to action the option in any case.
