This is what I thought but apparently it’s not true. The option is ours to exercise or not—JJ will have already agreed the terms.

Says who?

Probably trigger it then sell him for 25 mill to Cov

a few people have stated you cant buy and sell in the same window though. Reality is, if we go down we wont have the cash to complete the deal. It will be the same as the lookman situation where even though we want to do it, we simply cant.

Why wouldn't we have the cash if we were selling straight on? Not saying what will happen, but theoretically there's no reason we wouldn't have the money.

because of my first line..... people have said that you arent allowed to do that.  I dont know the rules but a few posters were saying that if we wanted to do that, we had to trigger it in jan

You can do that so that removes that hurdle. I wouldn't believe anybody on here about anything.

As mentioned in the JJ transfer thread, "Bridge transfers" are not allowed.

However, this isn't considered a bridge transfer.  As he has been integrated into the side, via the loan, it isn't considered a bridge.  If you buy a player and immediately sell them on with them never having been integrated into your side, then that's a bridge.  Playing on loan prior mitigates that, as with Tammy Abraham going from Roma to Besiktas to Villa in January.

Back with us for assessment before Preston. Hoping it’s precautionary

This is Leicester City. I will put £10 on him being out until the Blackburn game.

We don't need to sign and sell. We need to start the rebuild and sign and add to him. Stay up. Get rid of most of the dead wood.

I do not want to just accept we are going to go down (although it is as likely as not). I just hope the players/ownership have used the break for a bit of a reset and are ready to fight for their lives. We will know by Monday next week.

Cmon Leicester. Get this in your heads...You are not too good to go down. Get out there and fight, compete and outwork your opponents. We can do this but there are not going to be second chances from now on in.

We haven't out fought or competed with anyone this season what makes you think they will now ?

We have been more competitive and shown more fight under Rowett than we did under Cifuentes. Our last game against Watford was one of our best performances of the season  and probably the only one in which we were comfortably the better side in both halves. There are clear signs that things are improving on the pitch.

I agree that if you base your prediction of where we’ll end up on how we’ve played over the whole season, you’ll probably be very pessimistic. However if you base it on the improvements seen in recent weeks, you might be a little more positive.

Improvement in recent weeks?

Norwich and Q.P.R at home are two of the most vile performances I’ve ever watched (and they’ve had plenty of competition)

Both under Rowett

If we don’t go down he will stay, being the best player on a mid table championship team will get him a better move the he’ll get off the back of this year, he wouldn’t be a starter in the prem and at his age he needs to be starting. If we don’t go up it’ll be a top championship team or promoted side that’ll get him
