Mental.

I could say the same about your 8/10 assessment.  You seem to be easily pleased and I would bet that you have basked in the afterglow of terrible windows in the past before reality strikes.

We have a great chance of going up, which would be the best way to balance books.  I'm not saying this one was terrible just below average, given the funds brought in.  We haven't been bold enough and we may well live to regret a missed opportunity.

6/10, could improve if Carranza turns out to be quality and Ramsey stays fit. James is a quality addition.

Bilal fee a bit low, and it’s a loan… other than that the outgoings were better than normal.

I'm between a 6/7 for the window.

Ins

- Carranza: a gamble and don't think he's going to get a massive amount of goals, but if he's brought in as a support striker to maximise the wingers and midfield for goals, it might be something I can get behind.

- James: Excited by this, don't know a lot about him myself but heard nothing but great things... hope he can push on with us and take his career to next level.

- Ramsey: Again, similar to James, not seen much of him myself but nothing but positive coming out about the lad. If I'm right in thinking, there's no Option/Obligation which is a shame.

Generally, pretty happy... given our state with transfers recently think it's sensible we've gone down the loan avenue.

Outs

To really boost this rating, I'd say

- Faes: Should have gone no question.. he has no future here for me and I'd say bad for the dressing room. I don't care if he's our best defender, his attitude stinks and he needs to go.

- Kristiansen: Not sure if he wants to be here, no really done it for me so should cash in asap.

- Daka: I personally don't see much value in him being here on the wages he's on. We need goals and he doesn't bring that, lovely that his pressing is better than Ayews but you could pay me a fraction of his wages and I'd chase down defenders all day long.

- Winks: Has a problem being here, attitude is poor and will no doubt stink the dressing room out. Don't want petulance in our squad so he needs to go asap.

If we get promoted and have big funds to invest then this window was more than worth it

Last time we got promoted we signed in the most part crap and waved a white flag

The club has took the correct course of action in my opinion

6/10 looking forward to seeing James and Caranza.  Hoping we were going to get rid of Daka but perhaps Marti stated he needed 3 strikers case one gets injured.

Even with a points deduction we should be making play offs at least with the squad we have.

Do we have reliable confirmation of which loans have options or obligations?

From what I could see, I didn't actually notice any comments AFTER the deals were made? Wasn't expecting the club to but thought there might be something in the press?

Rennes confirmed James one does. That's all i've seen though.

Think Tanner said Carranza does.

Seen no hints at figures other than the €5m l'equipe claimed for JJ but I just can't possibly see that as being true.

The Happy Clappers will be delighted anything is great in their eyes.

Great news and a great window for me personally because I know this

The club will reap what it sows this season, spend on dross you’ll reap dross back, but it will benefit in the long run as hopefully the decline will continue and we’ll get rid of this regime once and for all.

Hopefully he’ll sell up and go and I’ll return to the KP but until then ….

We didn't get all of them, sure but we probably cut out about 20m a year from the wage bill and as you pointed out, more will leave next year.

We didn't get IN this mess in one season and we aren't going to get OUT of it in one season.

It shows how bad this club is run when JV fell out with Rogers and how many years ago was that? And how many managers have we had since and the guy is still here he fell out with Rogers and then he was abandoned to the under 21s, then we had Dogs gate. This should’ve been dealt with years ago and the same for winks, their situation is just like everything else. It’s just left to drift. And you wonder why the club is in a complete mess.

4/10 - Incredibly poor window in historic terms, nearly £80m raised and not a penny spent!

unfathomable 4 years ago, but we are where we are! Good window for PSR and re setting this club, another big summer next year when the last of the high earners drop off the wage bill! In think 2026 we see the real re set, we’ve signed proven championship players that won’t cut it in the PL on loan deals, so that’s sensible!

let’s see what the season brings

Aren't Faes and Lurch contracted to 2027?

A great chance of going up is very optimistic we’re in for a possible 10 point deduction. I’m struggling to see how it’s below average mate the club is on its arse with how it’s been ran for the 5yr. It takes a lot to get rid of all the shite. Everyone always wants to sign loads of players including me but it’s not always possible. This window should put us in a good place with accounts etc so hopefully now we can push on and see where we are in January

We had the same situation two years a go, with a squad that didn't want to be here and mostly disliked by the fans. We sold the best few players and then a load left on free, yet here we are two years later counting down the months until another bad batch run their contracts down. Some of the players I mentioned in my list joined in the last two years or were given new contracts.

This cycle will keep happening until the incompetence at the very top of the club is dealt with.

Ins 6/10. Got 2 midfielders and a striker, exactly what we wanted for no outlay. But apart from James, not sure about the quality of the others.

Outs 5/10. Got rid of a few players for good value, but BEK transfer was a disaster. Also got rid of our good characters whilst keeping rubbish ones like Faes, Winks and Vesty.

Overall 5.5/10

It's a major improvement for Turdkin who normally hovers around 3 or 4.

In:
Jordan James (loan)
Julian Carranza (loan)

Asmir Begovic

Aaron Ramsey (loan)

Out:
Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart - loan)
Mads Hermansen (West Ham)
Kasey McAteer (Ipswich)

Woyo Coulibaly (Sassuolo - loan)
James Justin (Leeds)
Wilfred Ndidi (Besiktas)
Conor Coady (Wrexham)
Daniel Iversen (Preston)
Danny Ward (Wrexham)
Will Alves (Huddersfield - loan)

Sammy Braybrooke (Newport - loan)

Jamie Vardy (Cremonese)

I'd give it a 7 out of 10.

Midfield is strengthened and a much-needed striker is signed which means less of Ayew in that lone forward role.

Keeping the likes of Fatawu, Monga, Page, Mavididi is probably just as important as whoever we bought/sold.

Perhaps still more to come but overall it's not too bad. Shame we haven't been able to sell other deadwood but it's very much a good start with who we have shipped out this summer, and with all the income received...

Nathan Opuko Newport - loan

Everyone hated Woyo - gone

Hardly anyone rated McAteer - £14m

We won two games after dropping El Khannous and Page in instead - £30m pending

Justin was slated all last season - £10m

Coady was branded a commentator - £2m

Ward and Iversen written off by all - jettisoned.

Hermansen - cashed in on in favour of Stolarzcyk who has performed well

Monga Page Mavididi Fatawu retained

i would say 60% swamp drained and 2 young midfielders in to add quality and a bit of energy...

Have you purposely increased all the fees
