Just typical really.

We loan someone in very late in the window after already missing over 10% of the season.

Hes now looking at a 2-3 game ban and so that’s at least 7 of the 46 league games he’s missing already.

I reckon it gets downgraded to a yellow. As rubbish as the challenge was, it wasn't serious foul play or violent conduct.

Summation of quite a few of our players of late, in that they are a bit stupid.

However in this instance that probably unfair as this lad is likely desperate to get back on track so trying a bit too hard.

The Oxford lads knew that the Ref was inexperienced, card happy and easily influenced. That was pretty obvious after the Bouba yellow. With that in mind Rambo was naive to go in for a robust tackle - this was one of those refs that you had to manage and in this case it would’ve been done by standing off the player and accepting he was gonna run with the ball. As soon as the ref was crowded out, the red was inevitable.

They’ll not appeal it. It’s got to be so glaringly obvious these days and this even though I don’t think is a red, isn’t glaringly obvious.

Moronic decision to go to ground so easily.

Not going to write him off yet but was pretty anonymous before his red card against an Oxford side in 22nd and there for the taking.

I can see him getting minutes but think JJ will be the more impressive of the two loanees.

Stupid and unnecessary challenge but shouldn't be a red card imo but in modern football with bellend footballers pressurising the ref there is always the chance.

Not a good debut, shame he had his best moment with the volley on goal just before.

What are you on? Please explain how that’s worse than the majority of mistimed tackles?

For a start he was nowhere near the ball. Exactly why it was a straight red.

Even in this day and age it really isnt. Mistimed yes but genuine attempt to get the ball one leg is planted in the ground, only reason he gave a red was recation of oxford and crowd

As soon as the whistle blew I knew it was a red. Goes rushing in and then doesn't get the ball so straight red.

How? It wasn't high. He's clearly gone for the ball and mistimed it. Games well and truly gone if that's a red. Ref has made a decision based on the Oxford players reactions

Doesn't get nowhere near rushes in and clears the player straight out. Soon as the referee blew I knew it was a red.

I personally didn’t see anything wrong with the challenge. It was a foul, but that’s all it was, a yellow card at most.

Anyone deciding to write him off after today, take your head and wobble it….. he’s a good player and he will eventually be an important one for us. He showed little flashes of some lovely touches, given a proper run he will be good.

Today, I think it was just down to him trying too hard, he’s tried to win the ball, just got it a bit wrong.

It's not a red. You're very much in the minority if you believe it is. I've got mates that all support different clubs and they are all agreed it was never a red. It wasn't high, it was just mistimed. These kind of tackles happen every week and only 1 in 100 would see a red. Hideous decision and the precedent got set early on with his weak yellow for soumare. Pathetic ref that has no business at this level of football. I'll be amazed if the club don't appeal it.

Honestly you can't win with some fans, we've been craving for a few players with some bite and determination. This was a case of someone who was pushing himself, that header before he was clearly annoyed with himself and went in a bit over zealous. It was mistimed and that's it. Not malicious or anything like that. For some fans to already slag him off is just ludicrous. No way is that a red card and like others have said it was simply the ref bottling it when the Oxford players surrounded him. One of the poorest refs I've seen.

There is frustration in that challenge, he wanted to impress. I still think a red was harsh, but it was clumsy, and over zealous… we will see better from him in this league
