The guy only lasted 25 minutes in his first game … yet, I really can’t wait to have him

back in the team.

I think could be the missing link. If we have a strong 10, it will make it hard for teams to double up on both our wingers. And if they don’t then the extra space will be available for him.

           winks       JJ

fatawu.  Ramsey monga

This should be the 5 every week when fit imo.

That 5 should be starting in Saturday

He’s going to get better and better with more football, there’s flashes!

Feels like he’s a better option (A) and BCR at home

bcr is never the answer

I think this has to be the way forward. I’d like to see mavidi get back to his best and share the load/provide competition to JM.

BDCR was awful every time the ball came to him the move broke down. AR looked a bit lost and was struggling to get into the game as it passed him by but he certainly needs to be given a decent run in the team.

We massively improved when Ramsey came on. He didn’t do anything of note as such, but he took up better positions than BDCR and gave their defence something different to think about. The team had a better balance about it and we kept the ball higher up the pitch.

One of the many problems with players like Daka and BDCR is they don’t look after the ball well enough. Moves break down and you can’t sustain any kind of pressure.

Against Portsmouth the midfield 3 has to be

Winks / JJ

Ramsey

Rambo to replace Reid in the next game for me. Bobby did well against Wrexham but reverted to his usual anonymous self against Swansea. Rambo came on and whilst he looked like a player who hadn’t played a lot of football for a while, he was involved way more in the game.

Looked the same as BDCR yesterday to be honest - Not very good.

Hopefully he improves massively as his match fitness comes. We could really do with another goal threat in the middle of the park to go with JJ.

Let’s take a bit of context into the fact he’s just coming back fresh off an ACL injury.

So true , it took Ricardo a while to find his form and this guy will be the same .

I work with 3 villa fans and they all said he’s a very talented player but was always going to struggle to get in there side, Burnley paid good money for him as they could see he was a very good player

He’s had a pre season. A league cup game with Burnley and 20 minutes with us before Saturday.

And didn’t he score in that comeback game for Burnley? He will be on an upward trajectory just like we saw with Abdul.
