...found out a Leicester score or result from a game you forgot was being played?

I totally forgot we were playing Derby on Sunday 26th April 1998 and switched on the radio relieved I'd only missed twenty minutes of it...

Yep, Huddersfield away in midweek October 2012, the one where Knockaert scored the screamer. Start of my career, was working 100+ hours a week, 7 days, binge drinking any time I wasn't in the office. Found out we were playing via seeing a copy of the metro the next morning, used the game as a wake up call to go home more often LOL

Leeds away and the Panayiotou goal.

I was ill and full of flu, had no idea what day it was.

Residing memory of that game was a lad in front of me going red in the face and screaming "Warnock, die you old c***", then turning around to me very politely offering me a Haribo. I passed.

Tuesday 4th March, 2003.

I'd been playing 5 a side in London, and looked at my phone, and saw it was Bradford 0, Leicester 0. I tended to look at upcoming games at home and around London (when you could actually get tickets for games) so this passed me by completely, and I had no idea they had played.

0-0 was obviously the only result it could have been.

I'm still ashamed about it over 20 years later.

Edited as was actually 2003, not 2023

Norwich away under Holloway 0-0 draw - only time I forgot we were playing in 45+ years.

Such a memorable match I feel like this is the first time I'm hearing about it

Charming guy in front of me three years ago vs Spurs made a comment about Hitler having the right idea then offered me a haribo.

Maybe it was the same guy.

Not quite the same.

But I remember going to the lunchtime kick off at Watford when we beat them 0-3 with Knockaert scoring (season 2013/14).

I was getting back to the car about a mile or so away and this Watford 'fan' parks up gets out and after seeing lots of other fans getting back into their cars, asks what's happened in the game....he thought it was a 3pm kick off 😂 told him he did well to miss it because Watford got battered 😂

Got straight in his car and stormed off.

Baffles me to this day that he's gone all week, all morning, in a social media world and not realised it was a lunchtime kick off

Slightly off topic but I reckon the 0-0 draw at Burnley in March 2005 is the most forgettable game in the most forgettable season in our modern history. It just exists in Yearbooks. Did anyone on here attend and did anything happen?

There’s been a few times I’ve been excited about a game on aSaturday  only to find out the game wasn’t until Sunday…

Yes, I randomly got offered Haribo by a shouty fan front of me.

I didn’t go to that game but I went to the 0-0 at Turf Moor in April 1974. It was my seventeenth birthday, I drank cans of Special Brew, there was nothing special about it.

The Howard home game v Leeds. Was in Spain for Easter. Was very lumpy and nervy about the game.

Saw a couple of chalkboards outside bars and just thought it was a 5.30 type kick off. Went to the bar and MK Dons were down to be playing on the screens (dunno why no PL games or championship were on) and only then looked at phone to see we'd won

It was 1-1? Barnes equalised for us from memory - I was there

My mistake, I meant to write 2003, not 2023!

Just imagine the commentary on a 5 year old Harvey Barnes scoring an equaliser in Yorkshire.
