Don’t know whether he’s been mentioned but I always thought Fülöp was a top quality keeper.
Played in a side when majority around him were shit.
In my lifetime I’d have to start with Vardy, Kante, Cambiasso, and Mahrez.

Surprised no one has opted for Lineker, ability wise he was excellent, although his best years were at other clubs I suppose.

Didn’t have the stats back then but his shots on target must have been ridiculous. I can’t recall ever seeing him put a chance wide or over in the 2 seasons before he went to Everton. Would always score or force a save.

Quite a few putting Guppy into the team. I was tempted to do the same, but I didn’t think I’d be able to do that without changing the shape of the team. Guppy mostly operated as the wide player in a back 3/5.

Personally I don’t think he had all the qualities to operate as an out and out winger in a 4. His crossing ability was probably only rivalled by Beckham in his era, but other areas of his game were not as great

People sleep on Elliot forget how good he was up the other end.

when you consider some strikers fail to score more than 5 in a season, he has 2 seasons of 7 and 6 goals.

22 Goals in 199 prem games

In the market now, Elliott would be worth millions.

There's a recency bias from my perspective, I'm sure of it.

I don't. Evans was a complete defender and I would have him alongside Elliott in my team.

Lineker is the player I wish I'd have been able to see for us. Obviously I know he is regarded as one of the Countries greatest ever strikers, but his goalscoring record is unbelievable. In the top flight he scored 22 and 24 for us, 30 for Everton, 20, 16 and 6 (I'm guessing this was when he was moved wide), for Barca, 24, 15 and 28 for Tottenham. So consistent and in terms of ability has to be one of greatest ever players.

It's almost like some of the older lot are a bit gutted they can't just harp back to the best ever teams that never won anything. In reality its the title XI minus Drinkwater out for Izzet.

Come on, not in terms of individual ability it isn't. The brilliant thing about our title winning team was that it was greater than the sum of it's parts. No Leciester "team" is coming close to them, but we're picking individual players based on their own ability. Ricardo is a better player than Simpson.
