We’ve not got a great record in recent years of winning big big games. Hopefully this changes.

Presume the whole 2 relegation things past you by?

Kiernan's late brace was decent but I do want something even more iconic. I think it has to be Monga. From Cov and it's been nearly double his age since they were last in the Premier League hahaha

Monga was born in Leicester.

Bang on , growing up in hinkley in the late 80's / early 90s cov were the other team everyone supported.

One thing I don't get is why people want to write fixtures off as ' not a derby ' or ' we don't care about them not bothered '.

Derbies/ Rivalries ate amongst the best games in football and I think you should have as many as possible. Cov is the one for me but hate forest as well. Bring it on

This is what I can't understand about Forest at times. I don't get how some of them don't see our desperation to beat them and it rub off. It's the same with this here.

It's big for both of us. It's a local derby and I don't know why people play it down.

Recent history a rubbish excuse to use. Are we the only fanbase that does this? Incredibly annoying considering we haven't got a main rival. Why would throw one away. I don't get it.

Villa would not use this against Birmingham, Newcastle wouldn't use this against Sunderland and Wrexham wouldn't use this against Chester yet all three are among the fiercest derbies in the Country. The more recently successful fanbase would not play the game down.

And also, for the manager and players, Cov are the first good side we have played and considering we haven't played that well so far this season it is a big game in that regards for us.

Absolutely spot on. It's the biggest game for both sides so far this season. It isn't because there's a single road between us but we're both clubs that should be involved at or near the top of the table at the end of the season and not a side like Birmingham where the media has made them look better than they are.

Leicester winning the Prem was brilliant for football in England but it's now history. The win will always show up on the records but many seem to think it puts you above everyone else in the Championship. But in reality we're all after the prize that means you most probably get a season of frustration.

So what you're saying is your goalkeeper has been largely untested, and when he has been called upon he's generally got a poor record? In fact, in terms of expected goals against difference, Coventry are 22nd in the league having conceded 7 from 4.36xG (Leicester are 2nd by the same metric).

Will be interesting to see how that goes against a team that has better finishers than most sides you've played, and will probably control the game a lot more than you're used to so far this season.

Coventry are overperforming their xG (12.94) by 15% - and as we know a huge amount of that comes from the QPR game, otherwise they're underperforming by 33%). Leicester are overperforming xG (6.46) by 24%

Stats don't mean everything - and especially so in a derby - but regardless it's going to be a tough match. That said, if we turn up and play to our potential then I think we could well give Cov a wake-up call. This game will depend massively on who starts in midfield for us; if we see the Skipp-Soumare double-act again then we're basically throwing away the first half.

We know our biggest problem has been defending set pieces. Never seen anything like it before. For us the best form of defence is attack. Most sides sit back when they see the speed we attack with. We constantly put the ball into the area.

But defending? We struggle even with every player back.

We are abysmal at delivering set pieces so don't worry about that. We also have very little pace throughout our side.

From what we've seen so far it will depend on how you set the side up. We struggle to score against the sides that play defensively but score against the sides playing attacking football as it gives our players with pace the space they need.

I imagine we'll attempt to replicate what we did against Birmingham, but hopefully we bring in Ricardo, Winks and James. Ricardo fully fit and Winks looking arsed are probably two of the best players in the league.

You come out and try to attack us all game I think we will win. We play better when teams try to attack and not sit back gives our wingers more space and not doubled up on all the time

The concern going into this one is that it still feels like a good time to play us. Coventry are clearly one of the better teams at this level and that's been evident over recent years. Hopefully Saturday is the game where it all comes together and we see the first complete performance from a Marti Cifuentes team.

As for the rivalry, it may not be either club's traditional enemy but it's the closest both have got to a two-sided rivalry. The distance between both cities dictates that this is very much a derby game and if anything, can only see it getting bigger over time especially if both clubs stay in the same division.

Everyone knows that, but it’s currently a choice between him and an unknown quantity in Carranza.

Ayew isn’t a number 9!

Did alright at Oxford last Saturday, endless running, scored.  Daka would have fallen over.

Marti is a pragmatist, which is evident from the early games. After Preston he’s definitely dropped us 5 yards deeper, so it actually wouldn’t surprise me if we see a similar set up for Birmingham. It wouldn’t surprise me if we do actually sit in and let you have the ball, and look to counter where we can.

The biggest thing for us, is Winks has to start, we’re a different team with Winks in it, if Soumare and Skipp start you’ll have full control of the game and the ball.

Its a real sliding doors moment in the season for both teams, you’ve slowed a little in the last two games, and we’ve been unconvincing but are picking up points.

It’s either going to be a boring game, or one of us might blow the other away.

Neither team can really defend, but both have capable attacks.

I do however fear Wright, every time I’ve seen him play, he is an animal.

I'd love us to be as slow as Cov were in their last game lol
