Aluko and Evans were put back into u21s but Page definitely and I said this last week. Page has fully made way in the squad for DCR....shocking!

Reasonably happy with this team. James isnt a 10, but I think with him being a box to box he should be a good link and help support the midfield which will be important today

 

Faes (albeit the odd calamity) is our best centre back so that's decent. Pereira starting is fantastic.. winks is a nob but glad to see him back in.

 

And to be fair, id start Ayew out of our choices for a game like this.

 

Manage the game, start solid and stop them playing like we did against Birmingham. 2-1 win.

We can all speculate about who should/shouldn't play/be in the squad but we need to have faith in Marti until he gives us reason not to. Arguably our toughest game of the season so far and he's picked close to our strongest side.

Ayew's inclusion on current from I can just about understand, but he's not a 9 IMO.

 

The "Jogging Donkey" in Soumare, I just don't get it.  He must have a dossier of compromising photos on Marti.  He's polar opposite if what we need in our midfield, well any midfield really, and especially in this match.

 

Faes, the arrogant blame shifting tw@t that he is, it pains me to say it probably on paper is our best CB, and he will get the 'attack from the back' going.  

 

Regardless of the squad chosen today thay ALL must be at it from the get go, we can't have a slow ponderous start against these scum.bags....

Nelson isn't anywhere near as good as Faes or Vestergaard and Carranza is an unknown quantity so not sure how you can say this?

We'll see in the post match thread. Im betting on him having one of his trademark blunders at some point and our fans coming back down to Earth on him. Faes not starting, getting hyped up, starting, then the fans getting sick of him, is like a clock cycle at this point.

I think he gets alot of stick on here. Some awful performances in the past. These managers see something, we haven't yet. Good luck to him. Hope he does well. 

 

Between Skipp and Soumare. I go with Soumare.

I'd say that is a questionable take but even if there was an element of truth in it, he has the potential to be much much better than them both and managers will sometimes place the development of a major talent on the job to evoke the improvement more quickly.

 

Anyway he proved last season he is very good at this level whilst both Vestergaard and Faes proved they are not up to the PL so why risk failing to cultivate a future England international for the sake of these pair?

 

Disappointing from Marti on our academy players so far but i'm not surprised. Cowardice.

As a very long time Leicester City fan from the early 80’s, I think that Frank Lampard is doing a very good job at Coventry City. It is remarkable really how they went in a short space of time from going from a mid table league one club with no fans and no ground to now selling out their stadium. 2-1 Leicester
