If a striker is not scoring chances like that then im sorry they are not a striker.

Carranza had too much time to think there.

he got the ball and it looked like his controller had disconnected and it was just the momentum / inertia of his previous movement off the ball that was carrying him forward.

You can see where Carranza has gone wrong there.

 

I'd just have run on to the ball and smashed it in the top corner and then wheeled away in celebration culminating in a knee-slide in front of the travelling blue army.

 

I don't see the merits in his approach; but I guess only time will tell.

Given the state of the league, with Ricardo healthy and Ramsey in the team we're good enough to be in the mix for promotion. No question about it.
