There's no way we're run competently enough to be looking at the underlying stats, or actually watching how we're playing. cityfanlee23 Posted 17 January Posted 17 January I'm always trying to look to the future with an eye on what kind of foundation/style we need to build, I prefer heavy metal gegenpressing style football that you see under managers like Klopp, but at this point, I think the club just needs a manager with the bottle to go in and headbutt someone, put the fear of god into these players and make it clear if they ever try to overstep the mark, ever think about not running that extra yard, the manager will headbutt them. F style, we need a foundation of players that give a shit. 1

This bringing subs on in stoppage time has been a thing for managers last few years. Southgate was doing it at the Euros. Id love to have an explanation for it.

It’s not that difficult to give the opposition problems in the first half if you play a slightly different way than perhaps expected. But then you know that the other team will make alterations at HT to sort that out. Chelmofox Posted 17 January Posted 17 January I just dont get it. 2nd half we had a few opportunities on the counter and Ayew was almost following Mavadidi around rather than getting into space. Its like we just wanted to hold the ball up rather than attack. And the 2 subs on the 90th minute, one which is Silko (who i dont mind, but everyone knows isnt going to impact a game) and f***ng Soumare who has in 4.5 years has about 2 goal contributions. These subs were done on the 90th minute when Jakub was running to get the ball to get moving quickly again after a Cov attack. Manager is outright weird. 1

Southampton away, Sheff Utd home, Derby away, Coventry away today 2nd half Pathetic, Nervous, Dumb at times. It is painfull too watch 2
