I heard it and that was my impression too. It sounds as if he knows there's no pressure. Could be misplaced confidence, of course.

The only thing I would say is that he went for the easy option of blaming past regimes which was maybe a bit of a hint of feeling it, plus saying we knew it would take time.

****ed me off really because if he knew these were the problems when he walked in the door, re player motivation, then why is he picking the same players guilty of it.

He definitely needs to go but that today was on the players big time. Looked like they were trying to concede especially the first

The players clearly don’t believe in his product.

And not for one minute at I defending them, I’m talking generally, but you can’t really blame them. Marti is proving that he is tactically inept. And his product is hideous….

It doesn’t matter in what field you work nor does it matter how much you’re paid, or and potential privileges that your work brings you…. If you do not believe in your supervisor, and you can’t collectively buy into his philosophy, the whole system will crumble.

Top hasn't got the wiggle room in PSR because he’s cluelessly presided over forming the most expensive squad in the league who are also utterly pathetic.

Amended for you.

We’re an embarrassment! The club have already uploaded his post match interview so looks like he’s sticking around a bit longer. He should of been sacked months ago!

God sake, foxestalk just took ages for me to load so that made me think this site was overly busy which made me think he’d been sacked.

Someone mentioned it today about things going really pear-shaped once Winks and Faes were starting games again. Any fresh optimism was swept away then.

It seems clear that Winks has checked out again and Faes is just dressing room poison. I would love to know what his win loss record is since he joined and how many clean sheets. They must be terrible figures. Any rational manager would keep him away from the first team unless desperate

I agree but the players are expected to do the basics regardless, which they didn’t. Winks might as well have booted it in himself

Yes, you would expect that. But if your head isn’t in it, it’s likely you won’t be. We can berate and bash the players all we want, but if they lack inspiration they will struggle even to do the basics, as daft as it sounds.

We will struggle to see how players can’t focus or do the basics, but it’s just the psychological impacts of being in an environment that isn’t one conducive to success.

Unfortunately in our current state, that’s going to have to come from the manager, but we’re heavily reliant on a manager wanting to take the job on.

So was it a no from July 2024 all the way through to July 2025?

he was still in charge of Everton until January, so it was only the summer when we went for Cifuentes, and we a) were not an appealing job and b) there was an obvious route back into the prem quickly when either Nuno got booted from Forest or a team like Wolves or Leeds panicked

Faes, Vesterguard and Thomas have both been relegated twice with us and are still featuring every week tells you all you need to know, granted Vesterguard didn't feature much under Rodgers but still and yea Winks does not look like he cares that much, although the other options are limited and not great either Page and James would be worth a try.

Not strictly true with Winks. Initially he gave us a massive boost…..but collectively the group have fallen off a cliff.

We’re not even getting Abdul to isolate his fullback, collectively it’s just not working.

Jordan James is probably the only highlight at the moments

As much as Marti is out of his depth, clearly, the players are good enough to cruise this league IF they put the effort in and IF they play as a team. They’re not doing that.

However, if Martin can’t get them firing on at least a couple of cylinders then he needs to go, and quickly. This is another shambolic appointment by people who know nothing about football. Embarrassing.
