Those of you who were turning down your nose at Sean Dyche when he was linked lol baffling.

Dyche has confirmed that he has never spoken to the club.

Not saying he was close to joining, just that a decent proportion of our fanbase turned their nose up at him on here.

Because he’s Spanish. If he was English people would have been turning their noses up at him.

Exactly that, I suggested this clown was no better than Alex Neil, Mark Robins or Gary Rowett in terms of what he has actually achieved, but obviously as he was Spanish and had some obscure teams on his CV the hipsters who know more about football than us common folk shot me down.

It’s Strange situation in football. Although the players and the manager have contracts, you sack the manager if he does not deliver results, but why can’t you sack the players?

I'd suggest all 3 mentioned were better and more suited to the role here.

If he even does go the next guy will come in and no doubt try thinking he can get Faes Thomas and vestergard playing as a solid defence until 6 months later of mistake after mistake and then we will be in the same position or worse

he does probably need to go but until we get rid of these clowns in the squad nothing will get any better

People confuse the way he had to play his teams with how he'd like to play.

We have seen lots of extremely limited and pig headed managers here recently who say it's my way or the highway, ignoring the unfortunate fact that our extremely limited players are literally incapable of delivering.

Dyche was and is precisely what we needed and need, but lots of our fans think and thunk we are better than him.

You can.  But in the same manner they have market values and contracts to be paid up.  Who is most responsible for losses, a single manager, a single player or the collective of the team of players?  And so which is the most cost effective to get rid of?

It's actually not that strange really.  If you had a manager in charge of a warehouse of 300 employees and they weren't performing, the manager would be binned off and replaced. You don't get rid of the entire staff and start everything over.

Fair play to him for convincing Top and Rudders that as he’s from Barcelona he’s mustard.

we need to cut our losses and let someone appoint a manager who is not going to be fooled by false promises and PowerPoint presentations.

Convinced the majority of people on here too.

Eh maybe but he's the quickest fix and he's obviously not very good.

His decision making has been poor from the start, it's his tactics that have us playing a passive mid block with the lowest sprints and intensity in the league.

He's shocking, quite frankly, his footballing vision is alarmingly similar to Ruud and always has been. He's not a great coach and needs to be replaced.

No, he's useless. He's evidently not up to it.

He is also not the main reason we are 16th or whatever in the championship. That goes back to a series of disastrous decisions made by his bosses from about 2021 onwards.

Just reading his post match interview and it really doesn’t come across like a man who feels under pressure…

The fact he’s had a post match interview means he’s safe for now.

I heard it and that was my impression too. It sounds as if he knows there's no pressure. Could be misplaced confidence, of course.
