MON is a very intelligent bloke, he’s also got vast experience in football, has a no-nonsense work ethic and is a serial winner. Claudio Fannieri Posted 2 December 2025 Posted 2 December 2025 Bit of an outsider but wouldn’t be surprised to see Michael Skubala who is doing pretty well at Lincoln linked if we do make a change.

Id rather us go for someone younger and with exp as a technical director/DOF. 3

Not sure Farke can hide behind not being backed either, they're spent close to £120m when you throw in their free transfers sign on fees.
Vindaloo FOX Posted 3 December 2025 Posted 3 December 2025 Tony Mowbray till the end of the season for me, if he goes.

MPH Posted 4 December 2025 Posted 4 December 2025 (edited) can be worse places than Seagrave to help you in your recovery, surely? Nigel Pearson is currently taking a break from football management to focus on his recovery from a neurological issue that required him to learn to walk again. He is making good progress, has been able to cycle and swing golf clubs, and is open to taking on a new challenge once he is fully recovered and a suitable opportunity arises. CarolinaFox Posted 4 December 2025 Posted 4 December 2025 Thomas Frank might be available soon…wishful thinking? 🤣 1

If you like the guy why would you want him involved in this cesspit of an environment whilst he's still recovering. Nothing would set you back like that.
Lambert09 Posted 4 December 2025 Posted 4 December 2025 (edited) I do actually think that now that we’ve had new success, there’s less damage that could be done if this goes wrong. It was always unthinkable largely because we didn’t want to taint what was our most successful period, but thats been surpassed now. I think it would be a refreshing change at the club and he would certainly sort out the culture. after years of this tippy tappy rubbish, I’d welcome a different approach. read some of the Celtic fan comments, it was like he never left. This could be a really good move for galvanizing the fans and getting a feel good factor back. People will mock the idea but the other options available will be honking Edited 4 December 2025 by Lambert09 1
LCFCJohn Posted 4 December 2025 Posted 4 December 2025 The more I think about it, I have come round to the MON idea. I think we need to get rid of Marti. It hasn’t worked and we are getting worse. He is somewhere on the scale of out of his depth to completely hopeless. But with these so called leadership positions to be filled, it makes sense not to go in with another long term, costly option. It feels like we just need a wise head to steady the ship in the immediate term. Someone like MON, Mowbray or to a lesser extent Pearson are wise old heads. They wouldn’t be worried about their future employment prospects being at the end of successful careers and would be more likely to just do what is right by the club by virtue of not having their own agenda. That said, would Aiyawatt even know who MON is? I’m not sure he knows anything about the club before they took over.

Absolutely spot on i think anyone of the 3 names mentioned but would very good solid appointments who could work alongside the new technical director in getting the club set back up for success. I would not be against seeing any of the 3 appointed on an 18 month deal with a remit to help rebuild the club. I am pretty sure Martin O’Neill has been linked a couple of times with a return to the club since KP took over, I think the first time was when Sven eventually took over.
CL Fox Posted 4 December 2025 Posted 4 December 2025 MON wouldnt have anything to do with Rudkin so I think its unlikely.
teblin Posted 4 December 2025 Posted 4 December 2025 I also can't see MON doing 2 jobs in a similar vein.
