chapero82 Posted 9 February Posted 9 February We’re not the exciting prospect club managers line up for. We’re a reset button. And we need a manager willing to build from scratch.

Sorry just reread it and get how you may have have interpreted, just my guess as to who will it be and a guess it will be some point this week. Smith is now into 11/4 favourite and all others except Gerrard at 16/1 now drifting
whoareyaaa Posted 9 February Posted 9 February Its Smith then, if Walsh does come back it's half way there

Mickyblueeyes Posted 9 February Posted 9 February Why would Walsh even contemplate coming back ? He left the club for Everton - if there ever was a time he could’ve been handed the keys, it was then. It’s an good indicator that he wasn’t offered what he wanted. Despite the scenario at Everton, he could’ve walked into many other clubs after what he achieved. He chose the states and good on him. To come back now, in the situation we are in. Reporting into Rudkin (what an insult that would be) without Pearson and Shakey (rip). What could he possibly want to achieve - he came, saw and conquered and then some last time. 1

Odds on managers are very volatile and change when even small sums are placed on it. One person putting £20 on at 33/1 would be enough to bring that to 16/1. It’s also the most bent and easy to manipulate of all markets. Sky Sports News put a rumour for x manager to join, suddenly SkyBet take in a number of bets on that manager, never for it to be seen as a rumour again.

lgfualol Posted 9 February Posted 9 February Nobody normal wants to come and relegate former PL winners to league 1. Anyone semi normal would watch a game and then back out. We’re going to hire someone absolutely mental, maybe even a TikTok creator. 1
Enyoueffsea Posted 9 February Posted 9 February I never like dinosaur managers of the past but **** me, with nobody clearly lined up, how easy would it be to bring Warnock or Mowbray in on a short contract to the end of the season? Both would keep you up at a canter and then you can have time to get a longer term plan together. It’s just complete negligence to sit on their hands at this stage.
EnderbyFox Posted 9 February Posted 9 February If I had a quid for every time someone mentioned shitty bookies odds, I’d have enough to drop Tony Pulis from 66/1 to 3/1 favourite 4
MPH Posted 9 February Posted 9 February 2 hours ago, Wink84 said: This makes me laugh, 99% of managers always get sacked. My original point was someone (don't know if it was you) saying Martin had success and discounting Gerrard when hes also had success at the same club Martin has been at, the club he failed at and got sacked. Either way you cant just take one set of achievements when you feel like it and ignore the other one. I don't want Gerrard but I wish people would at least be fair in their assessment. winning trophies in Scotland is not an achievement. At all. They literally have just one club to compete against! the championship however is a very competitive division, you get promoted from that, it’s worthy of notice.

MPH Posted 9 February Posted 9 February so.. going back to what Rowett said about us about to make a very ambitious appointment…. Paul Green has just left his role as head of women’s football for Chelsea after 13 years , in a shock announcement. They’ve won 19 trophies in that time… Just how crazy are our owners?
