do not be surprised if we get an appointment today/tomorrow morning after last night

wouldnt shock me if it was Pearson, just to try and get the fans back on side and take the heat off themselves

If they had appoint Pearson initially I would have said it would have been the best appointment. The only guy who has instant trust of the fans and clearly has the mettle to sort this team out. Doing it now would be for all the wrong reasons - panicked, rushed and chaotic. Worrying times indeed.

What makes me smile is the complete lack of proactive succession planning. Most clubs will be watching and monitoring a number of managers and have a shortlist of 5/6 targets at any given time. Yet here we are at LCFC where we sack a manager and then appear to start from scratch with a quick google search of “out of work managers with EFL & EPL experience’ and then take it from there.

fecking amateur

The lack of succession planning for any role is massively concerning, taking into account we are also hiring a new CEO, technical director and commercial director and there has been no movement on any front.

I completely agree. Two weeks ago Top mentioned in his interview that a Technical Director was 'close' yet there's been no appointment and barely a whisper of who it could be. It's clear as day that there is no vision or strategy underpinning what we are trying to achieve, and any plans are either built on sand or nonexistent. We really have two incompetent individuals steering the ship and we're heading for the mother of all icebergs.

What links? Is it just me, but are there actually any links?

I meant links as in he’s local to the area, wants to come back from America, has worked for us before, coached Fuchs at last job and has extensive championship experience

Can we just have a manager that can organise a defence for once, it’s been a decade

West Brom have ground out a couple of 0-0 draws and will probably improve from there. We need to do the same.

Rowett would've taken our job 100%, but looks like that ship has sailed.

Not sure where we go from here, not sure they do either but I might be wrong.

I keep banging on about Pearson, but…

Does anyone actually know his current health status? Is he actually wanting the job as some have said?

If he’s wanting the job and is even at 70% full health just give it to him now.

Does anyone really expect THIS BOARD to make a successful appointment?

We got lucky with Enzo.

The rest of the dross is what you would expect from a Rudkin Top dream team.

Enzo ... Enzo ... Enzo ... he was here for 1 season ... a great first half followed by a rubbish second half ... remember how much of a points lead we gave up ...  his football was not great to watch and at the first sign of interest from a bigger club ... off he goes ... so for me it's ENZNO

He despises Rudkin so theres very little chance. The whelan stuff made this even worse. It's highly unlikely.

A number of managers won't touch it either - Will Still for example in the summer wouldn't go near it. The clubs reputation  is the pits in football circles.

Southgate drifted out now to 22-1. It was nice while it lasted.

Supposedly he was there last night but was last seen sprinting down the Raw Dykes Road after full-time with a crazed look in his eyes, shoving anybody in his way to the ground, screaming, “Out of my way! OUT OF MY ****ING WAY!!”

I just had a look at the odds. The previous leading contenders have all drifted and the shortest price on any candidate is 6/1. I can’t recall ever seeing a ‘next manager’ market as wide as this so long after the previous manager left. Nobody wants the job.

And the rest have blocked all Leicester based numbers and area code 0116.

There’s no rumours because the club isn’t doing anything.

Possibly, but I’m leaning to the view that the club has been offering the job around but simply can’t find any takers.

Peardon yelled FOAD to a couple of people shouting at him when we were having a bad spell. If he fails to improve the team now he could have hundreds screaming at Rudkin, Top, the team, and probably him.

The man has been ill so I wouldn't want our infected club stalling his rehabilitation (not that I know the details of his illness but it would still worry me).

Rowett to keep Blackburn up at our expense

Isn't that similar to when Pearson kept Southampton up at our expense when we went down to league one?

De Zerbi is now available.

Brilliant as we will now spend a week sending messages to his agent which will be laughed at and ignored.
