I thought we couldn't find anyone worse than Daka, but God invented Carranza for a reason...

With all the things wrong with the club, the recruitment team get an easy ride. They gave us Skipp last season and Carranza now. What do these people analyse and scout.

18k was the “actual” allegedly. Official 28 which I don’t understand…… what’s actual and official?

Actual= Bums on seats.

Official= Actually NON Official but will be ALL tickets sold even if folks don't attend i.e ST holders who didn't

not  a chance there were 28000 there! I wasn't there but like many ST holders, I've paid so it counts as 'attended'

I don’t think they were able to do that anymore? Certainly looked closer to 26k that’s for sure.

I'm not disagreeing with you but how is that Okoli chance in the first half not a big chance?

Haha that's just the 2nd half.

Think total xG with Okoli's chance and Hackney deciding to play volleyball in his box wads about 1.4 :D

I'm getting irrationally wound up by people saying how much effort there was lol

There was no more effort than usual, the fact we made a conscious decision to treat them like PSG and spend 90% of the game sat on the edge of our area seems to have messed with people's brains.

You know how the rhetoric is well this is the history of Leicester City?

25 years ago yesterday, we won 1-0 at Maine Road as a top flight club.

Accepting the fall is not correct

Mavadidi had been on five minutes and got turned by a player who had played a full 90 and grafted enough to get booked, by the way. Surprised I didn't catch him yawning during the replay.

Lazy sod. I think we need a thread where we count up which players have cost us the most points over the course of the season, because those two dropped today are 100% on him and Okoli not putting in the bare minimum.

I’m glad someone else noticed the yawn a minute before kick off a couple of games ago … I thought I’d dreamt that when I didn’t see mention of it on here!

How does everyone feel Nelson did?

I thought he was excellent. But I really want him to do well so am never sure whether it’s confirmation bias!

Physically he’s exactly what a great CB looks like, and he gets really close to his man which allows him to get a simple unspectacular challenge in. I really like him!!

Is that what they announced?? There was never that many I’d have guessed 22,000 tops

There were a few positives last night.

Great to see Ben Nelson have a good game. Okoli did well as right back. There was much more effort from the team generally.

We were lucky with the penalty and a draw was a fair result.

We have no striker that can score, and that is a major liability. Playing Carranza is like playing with 10 men. Even Daka is better.

Considering the team that we have and the clubs finances it was probably as good a performance as any manager could muster from that team. That is the grim reality.

Ideally we get a striker in in January, perhaps a loan of an out of favour, or young striker from the Prem is the most realistic option.

I think we have enough to avoid relegation even with a points deduction, then have a clear out next summer of the over paid and underperforming. Without that we don't have the budget to sign either players or ambitious manager.

Yeah totally agree. The only thing you could’ve been half impressed with was they actually worked hard and had some desire about them.

Which, horrible as it is, is an improvement!

It was the same as any other game. A lot passing about but no driving forward with the ball until Fatawu tries to skin as many players but ends up hitting their shins.

It doesn’t matter what formation he puts them in, he doesn’t change his playing style and anti attack tactics.

The Ayew stink out in the first half where he decided to stop under no pressure on a counter attack and pass back sums up Marti’s football.

Get rid of the chancer as he won’t change, because he doesn’t know what to do.

Posted (edited)

Just remembered Ayew picking the ball out the net after his pen, like we were chasing the game and not moments away from half time with the lead.

Another small example of how brain dead this squad is.

With the effort? Im sorry but how can anyone of watched that and say the players didnt put in a shift. The quality was massively missing however and the attacking game plan

Effort was there, our attacking play is seriously lacking, without Ramsey and there’s a general lack of confidence in the team, especially our strikers, even though they are shit. Defensively we were a lot better. Middleborough never look like scoring and were as shit as us in an attacking sense. We got into some promising positions, but the lack of pace in our team, especially up front, meant we kept turning back, killing the attack. We need an injection of pace throughout the team, especially up front

To be fair I was at work last night so didn't see the gaps in the crowd until much later when seeing the goals etc so yes looked much lower attendance

which is even more understandable but worrying - Top needs new investors or preferably to sell up

Ayew taking it to the corner at the start of injury time and failing was a laugh

Remembered thinking that had royally F**ked me off last night but had forgotten that in the aftermath of them scoring as it wasn't immediately after...but my god it sums up our approach last night really doesn't it.

It's ok though because Marti told us explicitly "I will never protect a 1 goal margin, I'll chase a 2nd, 3rd and 4th!"

Seen a few posts saying the same thing. I felt absolutely nothing when Boro scored last night. Usually that would annoy me for days. Doesn’t that just show how far we’ve come? I can’t even be bothered to be annoyed anymore.
