How many times has he played for Leicester?

He joined in Feb 2023 and from what i can see there are less than 15 appearances for us. He quickly fell out of favour during the relegation season. Smith preferred Faes and Cags to him. Even Brendan started playing Amartey again over him. Never featured during the Enzo season. So in nearly 2 years he's nearly cost in xfer fee along 1 million per match.

I was hoping he was going to be great.

I don't know how many appearances it was in for him, but I think we were away at Brentford and the song '6ft ****ing 6, made of ****ing bricks' and I turned to my son and said 'the only part of him made of bricks are his feet!' I had seen enough! 😄 🤣

What a window January 2023 was signing Souttar and Kristiansen! Brendan Rodgers Masterclass

I actually have a hunch that Brendan didnt have much of a say in those. Might be wrong but that the impression i have always had.

Still should have scored that sitter of a header away at Southampton in the season we lost there and got relegated.

He had 4-5 good opportunies from corners in that Premier League season, him fluffing in front of goal worried me more than his defensive ability.

I am hopeful he will get fit and come back into the side alongside Nelson.

Even injured he's better than Faes, really any manager that judges a centre back on his ability to pass rather that his ability to kick a ball away really hard, is a blithering idiot. Sadly we have had several and the DOF is also a blithering idiot too

Sell in the summer if we can

He said that Harry Souttar had undergone a minor surgery on a fresh injury and so he is in a recovery process again.

“He picked up a small injury that has needed a very small surgery,” Cifuentes said on the centre-back.

“He’s going to be back on the grass in a couple of weeks. It’s hopefully not a big one. For sure, the reality is that his last game was a year ago so obviously it will take some time until he will feel 100 per cent ready.”

Swear someone could have a triple leg fracture and Marti would say "it's a small injury" lol

Wasn’t he a key player for Sheff Utd albeit maybe in a back 3? Was very good for Stoke too

We should definitely look to keep him as no doubt whoever we recruit will be worse

He was.  I think they had the best defensive record and were in the automatics before his injury.  But we're talking about 1 manager out of many getting a tune out him at a lower level than the rest.  Wilder even made use of Hamza.

It'd be awesome if he came in and performed for us at that kind of level, but if there's any sort of interest or half way decent offer we should not look to keep him at all.  His record for us added to his injury record means if there's a positive way out, you take it.

So its fashionable to diss lots and lots of players. I agree, Daka is sh1te, Praet was useless, Faes a curly haired *****, Perez was over priced,  Soumare a lazy pri5k, Victor useless, Ayew crap etc etc. But at least they actually played for us.

This lanky piece of Australian(Scottish) jizz cost us £15 million. £15 f4cking million to do nothing. Didn't play at all the season we got promoted. Has remained a fan favourite in all that time, because you are when you dont play.

Stoke must love every penny of that £15 million. They even had add-ons that i bet kicked in when we were promoted.

Sorry to those that love him. This is our WORST signing in the last few years. Utter crap.

His best moment was his own goal against Villa.

To be fair I would like most of those more if they had never played for us.

He wasn’t amazing before he got injured (very slow) so not sure why so many people think he’s suddenly going to fix our problems.

Thing is, he was at this level for Sheffield United before the injury last season. They had the best defensive record, were flying high and absolutely loved him. I watch a number of their games as well (interest due to being in Sheffield) and he’s actually pretty quick across the ground. There’s two types of fast/slow. Reflexes and turning circle so to speak and pure speed across the ground. He’s probably slow on the former but not on the latter. A bit like Morgan was. Didn’t he actually rank highly for pace purely in sprinting?

That’s not to say he fixes our problems, firstly because of the injury and secondly because our problems are much deeper rooted than one player can fix. But if you could put the Souttar than Sheff Utd had last season in, that’s an improvement on Faes/Vestergaard/Okoli.

He'll be back just in time to phone it in for the last year of his contract to then leave on a free.

You're in luck - contracted to June 2028!

Not back anytime soon then??  When fit, isn't he a better option than Okoli OR Vestergaard??  Or 5 at the back with Souttar, Vestergaard & Ben??

Got to stop the goals going in somehow??

If the other team doesn't score the worst can be a draw, if the other team scores 22 games in a row, then you're going to lose a lot of games

An injury prone terrible LB

I don't think any manager has had much of a handle on recruitment since early Rodgers. That went horribly wrong and round about 2022 the club came to the conclusion that managers should have to work with whatever their men - Glover and Rudkin - deemed worthy. The obvious conclusion, rather than that, should simply have been that Rodgers, and his man Congerton, were poor recruiters. As has been the case throughout both of their careers.

And an already-dire situation got a whole lot worse. I understand that managers only have a collaborative role in recruitment nowadays, but when players are repeatedly signed who don't complement what's going on on the field, you'll always end up in trouble. And if you can't settle on a manager who can take you forward, it's hard to justify giving them a major say either. The whole thing becomes a vicious circle.
