What I really hate about him is he’s a lingering reminder of them lot. The ones we have had to sit through for years. Doesn’t want to be here and doesn’t give his all. 
 

Doesn't matter what level you’re playing at, if the other player wants that ball more it shows.

 

I was done years ago with this type of player. It’s such an insult to us to have anyone who doesn’t give absolutely everything. Yet the culture of our whole club has allowed it again and again.

Souttar playing in a back 5 is a totally different player to when he’s in a back 4. In a 5 he is quality, he can drop off and not be exposed for pace and he’s a real specialist in the role. I think we need to stick to this formation and accept that we have to utilise wing backs rather than wingers. Probably not great news for Watson or Howell unless they have Alves levels of discipline, athleticism and. footballing intelligence to combine defending and attacking. I know Burns has played the wing back role for Ipswich.

Such a different player in a 3 - gets his massive head on everything and doesn’t get exposed

Yep completely agree - seems like some of the most basic things most of us could see and get so frustrated at Martin is realising ish maybe don’t shout it out loud

Brother in law is a Stoke fan, he was shocked we bought him under Rodgers dod the money we paid.

 

He was even more shocked we brought him and played him in a back 4.

Great news for us though if Watson doesn’t play. Absolute donkey
