coupled with whatever support he provided to Top during his fathers passing

So because he's a good friend of Top its fine for him to remain employed despite year-on-year failure on the pitch and off the pitch.

You've just described a situation known as "jobs for the boys". Which supports our opinion that the entire setup of the club is not fit for purpose.

A friend of mine went for a meal the other day and at the meal was Barnsley director (and former head of analytics at Leicester) Mladen Sormaz. He said he has a new job around here that he is starting soon but couldn’t say anything else about it. Could it be him?

Left them on gardening leave at the end of September. Might be onto something there.

Cambiasso or Huth might be ok, both ex players who achieved good things in the game with contacts.  Someone of that ilk, not an ex PE teacher please.

Jewleh, Paul Jewell.

Yeah I’ve said that wrong, apparently he didn’t say a job around here he said a job at a championship club. Which tbh makes me feel it’s more likely it could be him.

Surely rudkin just moves into an "official" role that oversees LCFC, OHL and the Racing side.  It's pretty much what he does already, but this time we have dedicated staff at LCFC and a better overall structure?

****ing hell, Mladen went to 777 partners after us (so not sure why Barnsley are salty with us?) the fact he worked for that corrupt mob should be deeply concerning.

I am sceptical about everything 'Top' does but there does seem to finally be an acceptance that things aren't going well and they don't have the expertise in the club to turn things around. I just struggle to see how they get the appointments right if the people doing the hiring don't know what they are doing - it's just reliant on luck isn't it?

Probably 3xd his salary

I'll be honest, I struggled to make much sense out of Top's interview. I understood he wants "more communication, more closer", but that just leads me to more questions.

Wasn’t there rumours last year that we had interviewed the Bristol rovers DOF?

George Friend. He left that position at the end of March this year. Suggestions were that last year he came to see us regarding loans etc, but that seems to have been nonsense...so maybe there's no smoke without fire!

What bothers me is that Top and Rudkin will probably be on the interview board for the new technical director. Not a good start to select the right applicant.

With Susan gone, there’s not many others who can!

Mladen was an absolute car crash at Barnsley, it would appear he was someone who got the role for being good at his previous analytics role, but when it came to the actually leadership and management qualities you need to do the job he was severely lacking.
